Superb counter-only restaurant serving a tight, but creative menu. The sesame brioche + butter is out of this world. So is the tuna carpaccio. So is the striped bass + tomato. So was the gem + horseradish dressing (if you like horseradish like I do). The seafood broken rice was very good, but not our favorite. The ice cream sandwich which highlights vanilla ice cream infused somehow with raspberry sauce served on brioche bread…you read that right…is so great, so creative. Great service, great vibe. Bravo team.

Fantastic, elevated seafood counter dining experience. Every seat was filled at about the same time yet the staff handled each group as if you were the only diners. Loved watching the prep of the dishes, like a synchronized dance. Every dish was fantastic. Great wine choices perfect for the food. House sparkling water, so much better than having to pay for bottled. Loved the special acknowledgement of our anniversary as soon as we were seated. Will definitely dine here again, assuming we can actually get a reservation

Officially one of my new favorite spots in the city. The second you walk in, you feel like you’ve found one of those quintessential New York places you can’t imagine living without. Every dish felt intentional not just high quality, but crafted with so much care and incredible flavor. Fran, our server, was beyond helpful and guided us perfectly through the menu, while Graham and Amanda made sure we were well taken care of. You could genuinely feel the pride behind the bar. Notable bites: the brioche, bass crudo, tuna crudo, and lobster - we missed the dessert but a reason to come back.

Great fresh seafood!! We booked a few weeks in advance (wasn’t too hard to get a res) and the service was good! Got a couple of recs from our waitress and ended ordering 6 dishes for 2 people. Had to try out the famous seasame brioche and I can see why people love it because it was one of the best brioches I’ve had - it wasn’t sweet, texture was soft and felt very light eating it. The puntarelle was well seasoned and the tuna carpaccio melted in my mouth. The confit oysters paired nicely with the crackers and the halibut was cooked perfectly. Decided to order the ice box instead of dessert and did not regret it - the quality of fresh oysters, mussels, scallop, shrimp, crudo was amazing.

Very good food, I particularly liked the raw bar. The dover entree was surprisingly bland and a little dry. The red snapper crudo had a bit too much orange. The chocolate mousse was pretty good, though the olive oil made it a bit too rich. I loved the music, 70s punk and post punk. However, it was easy too loud and I couldn't hear the person next to me very well. It's only bar seating, and it wasn't very comfortable. Overall, I found it expensive and given how hard it is to get a reservation, I wouldn't recommend it.
