I finally brought my nephew here so he could try their 2 lb. steamed lobster, and it was just as delicious as I remembered. I've been coming here for years, and the quality of the food continues to keep me coming back. During this visit, I ran into a recurring issue with my lobster. It was carrying a large amount of roe, which I was actually happy about because I enjoy it and didn't want any of it to go to waste. However, the roe deep inside wasn't fully cooked during the initial steaming process. I had to go back and forth with Ash and the kitchen staff several times, but they remained patient, attentive, and committed to making sure everything was cooked properly. Ash, one of the managers, provided excellent customer service throughout the experience. While I was waiting, he kindly offered me a complimentary cup of New England clam chowder, which was absolutely delicious and very much appreciated since I was starving. Before leaving, I also ordered two more 2 lb. steamed lobsters to go. I explained my concern, and the staff made sure they were thoroughly cooked before packaging them. Both were perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. I truly appreciate the team's dedication to customer satisfaction and their willingness to make things right. Their excellent service, combined with consistently great seafood, is why I've remained a loyal customer for years. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Great Poutine, but Mixed Vibes and High Prices 🦞🍟 We checked out The Lobster Place inside Chelsea Market. The market itself was pretty buzzing and busy, which gave it a cool energy, but our actual dining experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The Food: The Standout: We ordered the lobster poutine fries, and they were absolutely incredible. Definitely the highlight of the meal! The Surprise: We also ordered a lobster roll, which was a bit of a letdown based on what we expected. If you're looking for a warm, freshly toasted bun drenched in hot butter, skip this. It's served as a cold sandwich—almost like the lobster was pulled straight out of a cold bin and slapped onto a hot dog bun. It wasn't bad, just not what we were hoping for. The Service & Logistics: The service was just "okay." Our waitress brought our drinks, but when we asked for water, she brought us lukewarm, plain water with no ice and no straws, which felt a bit lazy given the price point. Also, a quick heads-up if you visit: if you need to use the restroom, you have to trek all the way down to the basement of Chelsea Market, which is a bit of a hassle mid-meal. Overall Verdict: It’s an okay spot, but it definitely didn't blow us away. For how expensive the bill was, we expected a little more attention to detail in both the food preparation and the service. Worth it for the poutine if you're already in the market, but maybe temper your expectations for the rest.

Honestly the lobster rolls are really small for the price they charge. 4oz for $28. Meat was really firm and well sessoned. The lobster bisque is nothing mindblowing to be honest. Oysters were fresh. But we cant really tell the different between each grading.

Really exceptional oyster selection. The bartenders are really helpful, lots of good suggestions. The pistols on horseback are amazing but the tuna on crispy rice stole the show. Just incredible, fresh raw tuna on a bed of crunchy, crispy fried rice with a kick at the end to round out a delicious bite. They also have a selection of seasonal cocktails, rotating beer, and wine list that very much meets expectations. I would come for lunch and skip the crowds.

If you’re finishing a walk on the High Line, this is the perfect pit stop. It’s located right at the end of the park inside Chelsea Market—pro tip: enter through the High Line side door to save yourself a trek through the main market crowds! The Food The quality here is top-tier. While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the freshness justifies the splurge. • The Lobster Roll: A total standout and an absolute must-order. • Whole Lobster: Sweet, fresh, and perfectly prepared. • Oysters: They have a fantastic selection from across the East Coast. The ones we tried were incredibly clean and briny. The Experience We visited on a Sunday in the late afternoon. Despite it being a weekend, the line moved quickly: • Wait to order: Minimal. • Food prep time: About 10 minutes. Bottom Line: It’s a great spot for a group of friends to share a spread. It’s busy and a little pricey, but for the location and the quality of the catch, it’s a classic NYC experience I’d definitely recommend.
