A decent little ramen shop with some curry rice options and lunch specials. Initially I chose this place because they advertised lunch specials at $14 for katsu or ramen. I don’t see the details posted anywhere, and it should be clarified that the specials are $14.95, and only one item can be bought for that price on any given day - for example, I was there on a Monday and the only item I could purchase on the $15 special was yuzu chicken ramen. It’s worthwhile knowing in advance that the specials are slightly more expensive than they advertised lunch on Instagram and quite limited with no selection you can make. The lunch special sets are good value at $21.95 - the waiter made a mistake and added Karaage to my order instead of bao bun, but it was tasty all the same. The food was good - again, I wish the specials allowed me to choose any ramen or a curry rice, but I was happy with what I got and I’d definitely come back for lunch on a day when I liked the special item.

The drink portions are small but the bestie and I ordered the Melon Float and it was super good. The fries were immaculate, we also ordered some Takoyaki. The temperature was perfect the moment we got them, I've burned my tongue in other restaurants when I got them because they were extremely hot but they were pleasant from the get go here. The bestie order a kitchen katsu sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it, I ordered a salmon and rice it was super good. The vegetables wasn't overpowering to the salmon and rice. The miso soup included was nice. The atmosphere is perfect, very relaxing.

Tried Kuu Ramen in NYC — honestly, it was decent but nothing particularly memorable. The broth and noodles were okay, the portions were fair, but overall the ramen felt pretty standard and lacked that rich, special flavor that makes you crave another bowl. The place itself was busy and had a casual Japanese ramen shop vibe, so it’s still fine for a quick comforting meal in the city. Just probably not the kind of ramen spot I’d go out of my way for.

Place is small, and also they have shareable tables just fyi, that threw us off, staff is super friendly and kind. We order some ramens and gyoza which was super flavorful, all their ramens were good, I forgot to take a picture of my husbands but his was spicy and had pork like chicharron (crispy pork) on top, which was to die for, my son didn’t like his beef miso ramen because the meat was minced and also had a sweet flavor so I switched it with mine and then he was happy, my miso pork ramen was delicious, savory and had a little quick since they decorate with what looked like chili oil, delicious but a little spicy. I was super happy with this place, glad we found it and would definitely try it again. Yum

Kuu is a small, intimate ramen spot in NYC. The gyoza were excellent—plenty of meat and solid flavor. The curry was delicious, especially with the added chicken karaage, which paired perfectly and tasted great. One downside: the restaurant is pretty compact, so every time the entrance door opens, you get a blast of cold air. It can be a bit uncomfortable depending on the weather. Overall, the food was really great and the service was decent. Perfect for a quick, satisfying ramen fix if you don’t mind the tight quarters.
