We came here for my fiancés birthday and had the best time. The food, service (Fernando, our waiter, was super nice), and atmosphere were just what we were looking for: we ordered the octopus special, black ink linguini, picanha, and mussels, all of which were amazing. The wine and cocktails (including a frozen espresso martini) were delicious. The service was amazing, and we felt very comfortable. The dessert we had at the end of the night was 10/10. Can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely incredible dining experience from start to finish! The Bella Canto truly lives up to the hype — a beautiful delicious cocktail. The carbonara was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had — rich, perfectly balanced, and unforgettable. A huge shoutout to Andre at the bar, who made the night even more special. He was not only fun and welcoming, but clearly passionate and knowledgeable about his craft. He took the time to explain what he was making, which added such a personal touch to the experience. To top it all off, the frozen espresso martini for dessert was the perfect ending — creative, delicious, and something I’ll definitely be thinking about long after this trip. If you’re in town, this spot is an absolute must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!
After the show, my friend and I were looking for a place to have dinner to celebrate my birthday, and we just walked into this restaurant. We didn’t expect much, but the food turned out to be really good and the atmosphere was lovely. The only downside was the dessert timing. I had asked for the dessert to be served at the end, but it came out unexpectedly while our table was still full. They brought out a tiramisu with a sparkler, and because there wasn’t enough space, it ended up being a bit too close to me, which made me feel slightly uncomfortable.Other than that, everything else was great:):):)
Me and my wife came to have dinner at Canto Upper West Side on a random Monday night. Alexandra and Jorge were our servers and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy. We tried steak chimichurri and the shrimps and clams from the appetizers. Both were absolutely delicious. My wife had the espresso martini and it was amazing. I tried the Mystic Martini which is like the Canto version of a Rob Roy and it was perfect. Happy Hour deals were great, food was great and the service was of a different level. For mains I had the carbonara, which I’d place on the top 5 of best Carbonara in New York City.
Great Italian restaurant serving up delicious salads, pastas and other main courses. The portions are slightly larger than what you would see in Italy so ordering a pasta and a secondi dish is a lot of food. The place is pretty loud with bar and table seating. Hard to really have a conversation here another way they arranged the tables were really optimizing how many people they can fit rather than the comfort of the diners. Prices are on par with NYC restaurants.
