Everyone at our table had "wow" food moments! Best meatballs, pizza dough, and brushetta in my life! Lasagna, margarita pizza, fettuccine with sausage in a cream sauce, and rigatoni and marinara. Delicious! Great way to introduce ourselves to New York cuisine!
I was a bit torn between a 3 and a 4 stars but I think for the ability to accommodate groups and unbeatable pricing for Chelsea, it cements its spot in the 4 star category. The staff are generally friendly. The space is very cute. Some reviews/Google AI said only beer and wine is served here but you can in fact get a cocktail as of May 2026. One person in our group got the spritz with some sort of capelleti liquer, which was quite sweet like a tinto de verano. The restaurant was very good at bringing out all the entrees around the same time. I think we would recommend the salad with tuna and avocado, chicken Milanese that comes with generous arugula, and penne à la vodka. The bruschetta can probably be skipped and the pizza with veggies has a risk of being somewhat watery from the vegetables and napoletan style pizza. There are plenty of vegetarian pastas. Portions are reasonable.
🍝✨ Pepe Giallo in Chelsea might be one of the cutest date night spots I’ve been to in NYC lately. Went on a Thursday for dinner and I’d definitely recommend making a reservation because this place fills up fast for a reason 👀 The whole restaurant feels super warm and romantic with wood accents, plants everywhere, cozy lighting, and such a fun interior design vibe. They also have really cute outdoor seating if you want to sit outside on a nice night 🌿🍷 Started with the peach & burrata appetizer, which honestly surprised me in the best way. I was a little unsure about the combo at first, but it ended up being super refreshing and delicious 🍑🧀 For pasta, we got the Pesto Ravioli Del Giorno and the Tagliatelle with tomato beef sauce 🍝 The pesto ravioli was definitely my favorite. So flavorful, fresh, and comforting without feeling too heavy. Both pasta dishes were delicious and also had really good portion sizes. They also had a great wine selection and a fun specialty menu overall. Such a good spot if you’re looking for a cozy dinner in Chelsea with good pasta and cute ambiance 🤍 📍Pepe Giallo, Chelsea, NYC
Fantastic dinner here this evening! Nice cozy atmosphere, great food and service. Flourless chocolate cake was one of the lightest and best ever!
The food is amazing, and the menu is quite diverse for an Italian restaurant. Since it’s located on the East Side in a more local neighborhood, the atmosphere feels very authentic. I especially love the back area of the restaurant, it’s cozy, beautiful, and has a bit of a secret-garden vibe. The only drawback during my visit may have been situational. I ended my dinner a bit early because it was quite hot, which affected my appetite at the time. That said, the food itself was still excellent. I’ve recommended this place to several friends, and they all ended up loving it as well.
