Mohammed was such a wonderful server. Attentive and friendly and funny. He made our dinner so special. Will definitely go back. The food was incredible! All was cooked to perfection, can’t say enough good things about dinner at Charlie’s!
We had a really great experience at Charlie Palmer Steak in New York. The atmosphere is amazing — upscale and elegant, but still comfortable and welcoming. It feels like the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal before heading to a Broadway show. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was attentive, professional, and friendly without being intrusive. Everything flowed smoothly, and we never felt rushed, even though it’s clearly a popular pre-theatre spot. What really stood out was the pre-theatre menu for $49. It’s honestly one of the best deals we’ve come across in New York. The portions were much bigger than expected, and every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. It definitely didn’t feel like a “budget” option — more like a full, high-quality dining experience at a very reasonable price. Overall, this place delivers on all fronts: atmosphere, service, and value. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a reliable and enjoyable dinner before a show. We would absolutely come back again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
We came here for my husband’s birthday meal before catching a show at MSG and it was absolutely phenomenal! Every single person we met was nice but we really want to highlight the excellent service we received from Mohamed K. He made us feel so welcomed and he is extremely attentive and kind. It was a pleasure to chat with him about various topics. The restaurant got extremely busy at one point and he handled it very well. The food was also fresh and delicious. We really enjoyed the steak frites. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

You absolutely have to ask for Sera Fin, who turned an ordinary meal into something truly memorable. Sera anticipated every need before we even asked, offered thoughtful recommendations, and carried an effortless charm that made the evening feel special. Every interaction was professional yet personal, creating the perfect balance between friendliness and elegance. If you’re visiting this restaurant, do yourself a favor and request Sera Fin — you won’t be disappointed. Outstanding service like this transforms a great meal into an unforgettable night.
A high end steakhouse located in the historical Knickerbocker hotel in the heart of Times Square. The food here lives up to expectations, and the service is just as amazing. My favorite dish was the tuna tartare, which was fresh and delicious as well as a very generous portion. We also shared the wagyu flat iron and the surf and turf (which includes a half lobster tail and a filet) so that we could experience a wider selection of their menu. Everything was cooked to perfection and it came with a selection of 4 sauces, all of which paired well with the meats. These includes a bearneise, a chimichurri, one they termed the Charlie Palmer sauce (honestly my favorite it reminded me of the best sort of Thanksgiving gravy and was awesome on the potato puree as well as the steak), and a sort of fancy ketchup. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.
