We love Milos. It never disappoints. Ordering the Special is required eating. I think the octopus is in that category as well. It we keep wandering around the menu and enjoy almost all of it. We tried the red snapper sashimi prepared 2 ways and it was excellent. The lamb chops are delicious but the price is a little ridiculous. Which leads me to the “why not 5 stars?” The last 2 times we were there, we were rushed. No - we did not tell them we were going to a show. If you order the food it will show up fast. They are trying to turn the table and it is obvious. The other is price. I understand they cater to the business account crowd and can keep doing it. But it makes it unapproachable for most.
Estiatorio Milos Midtown 125 W 55th st, NY N Y 10019 My wife & I were in the neighborhood for show & decided this would be just the right restaurant for our evening out. We made reservations for 5:30 but arrived at 5:00. The hostess happily showed us to our seats- smack center in the restaurant. Milos is a beautiful restaurant and has a fresh upscale feel. We knew we were on a tight schedule so we already had our dinner pre selected- to save time. We were ordering off the Pre-fixe theater menu- something i've never done before- and may not do again. For the sake of saving money, and or time- perhaps...its a good idea but I personally didn't feel comfortable- or at ease ordering this way- I felt like the portions didn't quite live up to expectations. We ordered Lychee Martinis- they came out very strong. We returned them for a house Cab & a Mezcal Margarita which were both very good. We ordered the whole grilled Dorado & The lobster pasta. I can happily report- both were delicious. Id definitely go back, but perhaps to the other location just to mix it up a bit. I do recommend.
Had a wonderful experience at estiatorio Milos Midtown. The seafood was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and the quality really stands out. Service was polished, attentive, and professional without feeling overly formal. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, making it perfect for both a business dinner or a special night out. The grilled fish was outstanding, and every dish felt clean, simple, and focused on premium ingredients. Definitely one of the top spots in Midtown for high-end Mediterranean seafood. Looking forward to coming back.
Absolutely incredible experience. Milos is a well oiled machine and the attention to detail with the service reminded me of the “Forks” episode of The Bear, where every little detail was paid attention to. Amazing spot before a show because they have a fixed pre-theater menu if you choose to go that route (3 courses, $75/pp) which you can add onto as well. They immediately ask you what time your show is and they make sure they get through their whole service and get you out on time to make your show. Most importantly the food was incredible. Highly recommend.
We stopped by to try the pre-theater menu here before heading to the Carnegie Hall. My wife ordered the salad and Salmon and I went with the fish soup and whole fish. The fish soup was slightly salty with great flavor. The whole fish was perfectly cooked with the meat tender and juicy and very lightly seasoned which brought out the flavor of the fish. I got to taste my wife’s salmon which was delicious and full of flavor. I would highly recommend both dishes. We both ordered the walnut pie. It’s a little too sweet to my liking as it’s soaked in a light syrup. The service was attentive and the courses were well paced. Overall a great experience. Oh, forgot to mention, the waiter brought fresh herbs and cut them into the olive oil in front of us for the pre dinner bread. It was a nice touch.
