We had a fantastic diner at this restaurant. The meat dishes were exceptional, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The staff as a whole was excellent, but our server BEN really stood out. He was attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations from the menu. He made the whole experience even better.
A decadent experience that Major Food Group has made us all accustomed to. Midweek, biz travel solo treat. Needed to go light due to a substantial lunch earlier. Staff made me feel like a VIP, host proudly showed me the pool room and described the rich history of the property. Travis the server and team, all professionals. Knowledgeable and well versed in all ingredients and pairings. Dirty martini, glass of Mata Sauvignon blanc, mint sea bass, the butter dumplings were the night’s highlight. Conservatively $130+ all in. I didn’t go for the menu’s staples due to heavy lunch.
The Grill is an authentic expression of New York haute cuisine, where elegance, polish, and old-world glamour define the experience. The room carries a genuine sense of occasion, with a clientele and atmosphere that feel unmistakably New York. The cooking is among the strongest I have experienced in America, from a distinctive honey mustard sauce and excellent prime rib to desserts that stand confidently alongside the starters and main courses. It is especially impressive to see a restaurant treat its pastry and dessert program with the same seriousness as the rest of the meal.
The Grill is a staple NYC splurge. The atmosphere is incredible, the service is attentive and the food is great. I recommend the avocado crab Louis salad. The steaks are great, but not the best value in the city. There are steaks just as good for less. Overall, a great celebration destination
Worth every dollar. Our dinner was above and beyond expectations - great food, professional service, and an amazing atmosphere! The level of attention to detail is what makes this place so special. We even got a surprise at the end, which literally made my day. Unfortunately, I don’t remember our server’s name to thank them personally. Anyways, it’s definitely worth visiting again!
