Great place for a happy hour oysters and drinks! The kale Caesar salad was also delicious, would get again. The drinks were great too! The daily dose - vodka, dill, parsley - is great for any picky lover! The blush - gin, strawberry, lime - is a great sweeter cocktail. The crab dip was standard, couldn’t really taste the crab and the crackers were Ritz… would’ve preferred a more plain cracker to really enjoy the dip itself. Could’ve gone without this. Overall, solid choice for a happy hour option! Would come back
My second time at Jeffrey’s Grocery, and it definitely won’t be my last! Reservations can be a little tough to get, especially on weekends, but it’s absolutely worth the effort. I came back specifically for the lobster spaghetti, and it was just as amazing as I remembered. It’s incredibly flavorful with generous chunks of lobster in every bite—something you don’t often find at this price point. The sweet tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, crunchy breadcrumbs, and olive oil come together beautifully. I also love that it’s light and doesn’t rely on a heavy cream sauce. On my first visit, I ordered the crab dip as my app which was also outstanding. Honestly, I’d come back just for the lobster spaghetti. Unlike many restaurants that are stingy with the lobster meat, this dish is loaded with it, making it an excellent value and one of the best lobster pastas I’ve had. For dessert, I had the chocolate pot de crème which is a very rich chocolate, all mouse with bits of chocolate chip pieces. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so reservations are highly recommended. Seating is limited, and the tables are fairly close together, making it feel a bit tight during busy times. Still, the food more than makes up for the cozy space.
I LOVED this spot. Raw bar was 12/10. Lobster roll ROCKED. Crab dip was fantastic. Such fresh, fantastic seafood. The atmosphere is great. Very warm & homey. Great for a group of 2-3 dinner. It’s decent for sharing. They have some platters which help!! Pacific AND Atlantic oysters. Smoked mussels were a standout. The lobster roll was outstanding. I loved the oysters. Crab dip was nice & spicy, I might opt for more raw fish next time since they absolutely CRUSHED the raw fish bar Loveeeeee this place I need to buy a hat or something
Every single person at Jeffery's Grocery was a day maker. The hosts, the servers, the runners, everyone. The restaurant has such a cute atmosphere. It being in the West Village, you'd hope they were queer friendly and Y'ALL, I've never felt safer or more represented. Everyone was unique and fabulous and authentic. Kaitlin our dedicated server was PHENOMENAL. Above and beyond and a true delight. One of those rare NYC dinning experiences where you wish it was kosher to invite your server to dine with you. All this before even getting to the FOOD! Get the Crab Dip, the Duchess and don't skip that green wasabi hot sauce on the table! Then Lobster Roll is generous and filled with luxurious buttery Lobster. The Lobster Spaghetti is🔥🔥🔥🔥. Not spicy (apologies for the confusion) but Delicious. And we sadly filled up and couldn't make it for dessert but they don't leave you hanging. You will get a tiny sweet treat with the check. And I also won't forget to say the wine and cocktails were superb. I went with a classic off menu Gin Martini and oooo was it scrumptious. Thank you Kaitlin and the entire team for the memories! Can't wait to go back!
A convergence of great choices by management to put empowerment into service hands for the best experience, consolidate focus into a handful of dishes and do each really well, and to throw out pretense that fussiness = greatness. Had such a good experience we forgot to get any pics besides this perfect burrata situation. Caitlin was fantastic
