Got the 10 layer Lasagna, Sausage and Peppers Flatbread, and Cacio and 3 peppers with the Maldafe (ribbon pasta). Nice chewy texture. Better flavors than Carmine's.
Recently tried this restaurant and I was so impressed. Lovely atmosphere, courteous and professional staff. Enjoyed the Shrimp Garden Salad. The manager and my server, Yaz, were very attentive and friendly. They make their own pasta and the dishes I saw looked amazing. I highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to another delicious meal later this week with a friend visiting from out of town.
Water and Wheat is an excellent lunch spot on the UES. The service was incredibly warm and welcoming right from the start, setting a perfect tone for the meal. The food completely stole the show: the pasta was phenomenal and perfectly cooked, while the salad was remarkably fresh, crisp, and beautifully balanced. Exceptional hospitality and delicious food. 🍝
Water & Wheat on the Upper West Side delivers a vibrant, eclectic dining experience with a cool, funky ambiance that immediately sets the tone. The inviting indoor seating and buzzing, energetic bar create a lively yet comfortable atmosphere, perfect for a night out. Despite being busy, the staff remains attentive and genuinely pleasant, adding to the welcoming vibe. The extensive menu offers something for everyone, and the appetizers are absolutely delicious, setting the stage for main courses that are both amazing and generously portioned. It’s something refreshingly different for the neighborhood — a place with great food, satisfying plates, and a truly nice vibe.
Walked in for dinner and were welcomed by the friendly staff here. Evelina was our server and she was very friendly especially towards our kids. She explained how the 6 different types of pastas' were made fresh to order. Our order consisted of Cacio & 3 Peppers ($22) with Penne, Spring Lemon Asparagus ($23) with Mafalde, and Creamy Alfredo with Pesto ($25). Food overall was good, and portion sizes are good. The Creamy Alfredo does get pretty creamy towards the last few bites. Service was quick and food arrives within 20 mins of ordering. Spring Lemon Asparagus was the best dish on our table. The thing we were surprised about was that this is probably the first Italian restaurant we went to, where bread wasn't offered! That small tweak might be a welcome change at this place which has really fine interiors and noise levels on lower end. Will recommend and will visit again!
