Excellent food in a beautifully charming setting. Amazing spot for a date night with superb service and aside from the delicious food, this place can sure make a top tier cocktail. The young lady behind the bar that evening made the best espresso martini I’ve ever had which is no small feat in New York City, to be sure. Cannot recommend this spot enough!
I truly enjoyed the intimate, cozy & slightly sophisticated atmosphere. The staff was super attentive and service was excellent. They started us with an awesome goat cheese amuse bouche. I then ordered the fillet mignon and I everything on that plate was so, so delicious. My partner said his steak frites were fantastic—I tasted it, can confirm. I also had their spritz and I will say that that bartender KNEW what she was doing! We ended our dinner with the amazing crème brûlée and both agreed that we’ll be back soon. This is such a great warm spot y’all definitely try it!
Exceptional French Find in Cobble Hill! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are in the mood for authentic, flavorful French cuisine, I strongly recommend visiting Le Want. It is a fantastic addition to the Cobble Hill / Downtown Brooklyn food scene. The atmosphere inside is wonderful, and they also offer great outdoor seating options. We went as a group and tried a wide variety of dishes, and honestly, everything was excellent. The Starters: Beef Tartare: Perfectly seasoned and fresh. Fried Goat Cheese & Shrimps: Both were delicious opening acts. The Mains: Duck & Filet Mignon: Cooked beautifully. Beef Bourguignon: Deeply savory, comforting, and rich. Octopus: A great standout with fantastic texture and flavor variance. The Desserts (Do not skip these!): Malted Chocolate Cake: Insanely good, unique, and incredibly decadent. San Sebastian Cheesecake: Absolutely phenomenal. It had a beautifully light, fluffy structure, wasn't overly sweet, and had a perfect, delicate flavor. Great ambiance, top-tier food, and distinct textures in every dish. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful service and incredible food. The sea bass, cod and steak frites were cooked to perfection. What actually brought me in was the soufflé, albeit a bit small but it was delicious. The creme brûlée was the winner out of the 3 desserts we enjoyed. The bar tender helped us close out the night with a free mini-cocktail, a concoction of hibiscus with gin and elderflower! Found parking right on Smith St. on a Thursday night, free after 7pm.
This resturant is amazing, I went yesterday on my birthday and it was perfect. Our server, FELIX was absolutely incredible. He was prompt, thoughtful and had the best attitude. He made the experience 100x more pleasurable. The food? Incredible!!! Everything was cooked to perfection. Absolutely insane. Thanks Felix!!
