This is for the Eataly on Liberty. This place is always packed. The food is always good. It’s great for a large group, you don’t feel claustrophobic like some places in Manhattan. We had seven for dinner tonight. I unfortunately did not take photos of the appetizers, or the meal. We did the meatballs, broccolini, calamari; a few glasses of red wine; a salmon, a few steaks, bunch of pastas, and a chicken Milanese. Everyone enjoyed their food. They’re doing something different with the tiramisu since the last time I was there. There are lady fingers in it now, and it’s a bit celebratory how they unwrap it. We also tried the panna cotta, the Amalfi, and limoncello. My only knock was that it might be the dirtiest bathroom I’ve ever used in a restaurant. The bins in each stall were overflowing. I’m going to leave out some details, but it was unpleasant. The labyrinth of the marketplace is such a great vibe. And the location is a huge thumbs up.
This spot is a gem! The pizza is the absolute standout—it’s so authentic and the ingredients are so fresh that it feels like a slice of Italy. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff does a great job maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Best of all, the service is incredibly quick and professional without ever feeling rushed. It’s the perfect place for a high-quality meal that doesn't keep you waiting. I’ll definitely be back!
A school lunch tasted better. Another so so restaurant but not in a so so place. It’s not well planned or organized. My Asian guests were puzzled not on the concept but on the quality of food. Each dish was limo, sad, almost tasteless. I thought maybe dessert would save the meal. NOT. SADLY, one guess needed the loo. It’s not well delineated or marked. They threw up in a bag that luckily we had. A sad night with a very mediocre meal. One guess asked how do they keep all this food fresh. I said this is NYC not a third world city.
Love this location. It’s super convenient in the Financial District and offers a great food and grocery option. They usually have any items on sale, but this time they didn’t. They have two restaurants. I prefer La pizza & la pasta. The gelato is also delicious.
Eataly is one of those places that manages to capture the true essence of Italy from the aroma of freshly baked focaccia to the sound of baristas calling out espresso orders in Italian. The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by a vibrant mix of markets, restaurants, and wine bars that make you forget you’re even in New York. The variety is unmatched. You can grab a perfect cappuccino in the morning, a fresh plate of pasta at lunch, and finish the evening with wine and tiramisu. The ingredients are incredibly fresh most of them imported directly from Italy. The pizza is a standout, especially the Margherita with its chewy crust and fragrant basil. The gelato counter is another must-stop; the pistachio flavor alone is worth the trip. One time I stopped by just to grab olive oil and ended up in a full conversation with one of the staff members about different types of truffle salts. He actually opened a jar for me to smell and recommended pairing it with roasted potatoes or scrambled eggs. That small, genuine gesture turned a quick errand into a memorable experience and yes, I left with the truffle salt and zero regrets.
