Restaurant Week strikes again, and Crave Fishbar was a fantastic stop. If you’re a seafood lover, you’ll appreciate the incredible selection of raw fish. I kicked things off with the crudo, followed by a lobster roll that absolutely hit the spot. Then came the warm cookie with ice cream. When in New York, desserts will be had, because I have to walk everywhere so I need more calories. The vibe is effortlessly cool, the Upper East Side location is beautiful, and the service was absolutely impeccable. This is the kind of neighborhood seafood spot every city wishes it had.
Who dozen love a 7-day happy hour oyster spot? We sampled all of the oysters on their menu, and they were freshly shucked, plump, and delicious. We ended up ordering four dozen! In addition to oysters, they offer a great selection of drinks and other entrees. By around 6 p.m., the place was already packed, which shows how popular it is. Despite the crowd, our server checked on us often and provided attentive service. Overall, a great spot for oyster lovers. Wasn’t a big fan on the other items on the menu, but will definitely be back for more oysters 🦪!
Seafood restaurants on the UES have disappeared over the last few years — Crave Fishbar was not only a welcomed addition, but maybe one of the best additions on Second Ave. I’ve been eating here since they opened in 2024. The fresh seafood dishes are exceptional, only surpassed by the service… the crew behind the bar, the waiters, even the cooks in the kitchen who wave ‘hello’. The menu changes seasonally, here are a few of my favorite dishes. Enjoy!!!
I came here for restaurant week with a friends and we both did their $60 prix fixe menu. I thought the calamari and fish tacos were okay. However, I really liked the lobster curry with rice and the crusted salmon. I would definitely order these two items again. For dessert we had the key lime pie and cheesecake, and both were delicious. The staff were so sweet and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back to this place, regardless of restaurant week.
I came here for dinner with my friend for restaurant week + happy hour. When i walked in i noticed how cramped and small the restaurant was. The two person booth was so small. Anyways my crab hand roll was very mediocre and dry. It was $12 on happy hour i couldn’t imagine paying anything more for it. My margarita was good and my friend enjoyed her mocktail spritz. Crispy rice tuna was small but delicious. I had a slider too and that was decent , the meat wasn’t all the way cooked inside it was raw. My barramundi was good. The Thai curry lobster was good as well but they put in large pieces of bamboo , eggplant , Onions and the lobster where you would have to cut it. It came in a bowl like it was soups o now you are awkwardly cutting food inside a curry soup bowl, it didn’t make sense. My friend also had something wrong with one of her oysters and they kindly replaced it for her. Our server evie was really nice! And helpful with picking items on the menu. I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back here but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
