RH Rooftop Restaurant is one of those places where the setting alone makes the visit worthwhile. Having previously visited the West Palm Beach location, we were excited to experience the New York restaurant, and it absolutely delivered. Located atop the beautiful multi-level RH furniture gallery, the restaurant offers a stunning rooftop setting with elegant chandeliers, fountains, lush greenery, and an open, airy atmosphere. It feels sophisticated yet incredibly relaxing, making it a wonderful place for brunch. We arrived as walk-ins and, despite not having a reservation, only waited about 20 minutes for a table, which was more than reasonable given how popular the restaurant is. The food was excellent. The Mini Lobster Rolls with Caviar were so good that we ordered them again—they’re an absolute must. We also enjoyed the Italian Benedict with Crispy Rosemary Potatoes, which was perfectly prepared, and the Shaved Ribeye Dip, another flavorful and satisfying dish. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and consistently well executed. To accompany brunch, we had a Mimosa and an Aperol Spritz, both of which complemented the meal perfectly. Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout our visit, adding to the relaxed and refined atmosphere. Overall, RH Rooftop Restaurant offers much more than just great food—it’s a complete experience. Between the beautiful surroundings, quality cuisine, and welcoming service, it’s one of the best places for a memorable brunch in New York. Whether you’re shopping at RH or simply looking for a unique brunch destination, this is a place I would gladly recommend and happily return to.
We always come to RH rooftop to celebrate our birthdays. It was my best friend’s 26th and we knew exactly where we wanted to have Saturday brunch. We have been here a handful of times in the last 5 years. You come to RH for the atmosphere. This rooftop is one of my favorites in the city. It’s elegant, the decor is beautiful, the views are awesome and the outside patio is one of my favorite places to sit. I do have to say, the portion quality has gone down a decent amount in the last 5 years. We would come here and get huge pieces of grilled toast, the eggs were the entire plate and the avocado toast came with a poached egg. Lately, the portions felt smaller and its slightly disappointing. Flavor is still great. Drinks are great. Another thing to note is we told them we were celebrating a birthday and they brought us a cookie with a candle in it and then charged us for the cookie without asking if we wanted a $4 cookie. The issue is what you are getting for the price. You really come here for the atmosphere and that’s what you end up paying for.
I chose RH Rooftop for my pre-birthday celebration and had a great experience. I mentioned in my reservation that I was celebrating my birthday, and the staff remembered and wished me a happy birthday when I arrived, which was a nice touch. They gave me a confortable table, and I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere. The space feels elegant, bright, and thoughtfully designed, with a refined sense of polished luxury . Service was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal, and the food was very good. I also love that it’s located in Chelsea, where there’s always something to do before or after your reservation. Be sure to take some time to explore the rest of the building, because the décor and design throughout the different levels are part of the experience. This is a popular spot for brunch, so I would recommend booking ahead. Overall, a beautiful venue for a special occasion or a nice day in the city.
This restaurant is supposedly one of the must visits in NYC, all over the internet as one of the top rooftop places, but this place was a letdown. Food - nothing special, their burger is just okay, and does not come with fries (servers don't tell you that, though). the burrata is nothing special, sauce is almost nonexistent in terms of taste. Service - not great, switched servers in the middle of our experience and were relatively slow. Reservations are absolutely necessary. The ambiance of the building is amazing, though. Interior of the restaurant looks amazing. Building is on the 5th floor, and the lower floors are interior design showcases. The view is nothing special on 3 of the 4 sides, only one side has a good view towards the World Trade Center. Overall, this restaurant is just okay.
I took my mother here for her birthday about a week ago and took note of the reviews about the food before hand; we initially planned to snack lightly. We ordered the Grilled Shrimp appetizer, French Fries, Kale Cesar, and the Mulholland. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food as many people in the reviews claimed that it wasn’t all that good. What I will say is that while the menu is somewhat basic/classic, you can tell they pay attention to the quality of the food they serve. As a plus, service was great! Our waitress (I believe her name was Rachel) was attentive, charming, and very interpersonal. Overall, I had an amazing Friday evening here and would love to come back with friends soon!
