Electric Lemon is worth visiting for the setting alone. The location is stunning, especially the outdoor terrace overlooking the Vessel. The views are beautiful, and the atmosphere feels elegant, modern, and perfect for drinks with friends or a special occasion. We ordered the beef tartare, octopus, and gnocchi, along with the In the Cloud cocktail. Everything was good, and I especially enjoyed the cocktail. That said, I personally felt the food was a bit expensive for what it was. The service left me with mixed feelings. Our server was genuinely friendly and attentive, but the rest of the staff came across as a bit cold, which made the overall experience feel slightly less welcoming. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend Electric Lemon for the atmosphere, the terrace, and the incredible view. It's a beautiful spot to enjoy a drink and take in one of the best perspectives of the Vessel.
Equinox hotel concoction. If in need of quiet breakfast.. why not Hudson Yards than stuffy Peninsula or Palace... location, location, location... Avocado toast reasonable $20. Omelet bit flimsy. Pancake ok but need sides. Serving impeccable but bit aloof (maybe trained that way even at Equinix fitness and spa). Servers are not as welcoming vs hotel guests. Understandable policy, but can be done better to those who can see through the system.
Yelp’s 3.6 rating is more accurate for this place. Fine for grabbing drinks, but for dinner absolutely not worth it. Reservation was moved inside from outdoor terrace due to weather, which is understandable. Asked three times to have the curtains opened, finally someone who appeared to be a manager told me the curtains are fixed and cannot be moved. A “view restaurant” with no view made the whole experience sucks. Food was hit or miss. Visually plated well, but taste didn’t match. Some dishes were decent like octopus and pork chop, others were completely flat and way below average like mushroom soup and panda cotta of this level of restaurant. The bar area felt like a crowded market ,loud, chaotic, nothing close to fine dining. At $433 for three people, this city has far better options.
This was my first time here, and honestly, it was pretty disappointing. A lot of the drinks and menu items we wanted were already unavailable, which made ordering frustrating. We also asked if we could sit by one of the windows and were immediately told no, so the view from our table wasn’t great. The pasta and roasted chicken looked really good, but both were lacking A LOT of flavor. On top of that, our reservation was at 10 PM and the restaurant closed at 11, so we kept getting reminded about last call throughout the meal. Between waiting for drinks and food, it felt like we barely had time to enjoy anything before being rushed to make decisions. The service felt rushed, and it wasnt the best first experience.
Dining at Electric Lemon was nothing short of extraordinary. Located on the 24th floor with breathtaking views of the Vessel, the setting alone sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. We started with oysters — and simply could not stop ordering them. They were impeccable. The level of service was exceptionally high, truly refined, with an almost unbelievable attention to detail. The waitstaff were attentive without being intrusive, and at one point even the restaurant manager personally came by to make sure everything was perfect — which it absolutely was. We also ordered the short rib, the burger, the branzino, and the octopus — every single dish was executed flawlessly, beautifully presented, and incredibly flavorful. We went on to try all of the desserts and sampled several cocktails, all of which were outstanding and thoughtfully crafted. This was not just a dinner — it was a complete culinary experience. Memorable, elegant, and deeply satisfying. I still find myself wanting to go back. Electric Lemon is truly a place you don’t just visit once.
