Fantastic experience!!! Thank you! My favorite was the carpaccio with truffles.
We had the great pleasure to dine at Caravaggio during Restaurant Week this winter. We had never been to Caravaggio and had dined in several fine restaurants during restaurant week but Caravaggio had THE BEST pre fix menu. So we wanted to experience it. It feels like an old school New York restaurants with attentive and well trained staff. Not only was the food impressive but the service was remarkable from start to finish. Gerardo greeted us at the door and checked our coats. He welcomed us with a smile and immediately offered us a cocktail. It felt like we had stepped inside someone’s private home. The setting is sooo intimate. No attitude or snootiness anywhere. Samuel , the head waiter is a consummate host and gentleman who explained the menu to us and checked on us throughout the meal. And thank you to our server, Ervis for his pleasant personality and attentiveness. For my meal, I had the Prince Edward Island Mussels, the Lasagna bolognese and the Profiteroles for dessert. Every course was expertly prepared ,extremely delicious and the portions quite generous. I actually had to take food home because it was a substantial 3 course affair. The profiteroles were served with vanilla ice cream and among the most delicious I’ve ever had. There was nothing in our experience but perfection from start to finish. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant
