My wife stays at the Motto frequently for business, and it’s easily her favorite hotel whenever she’s in the city. I’ve joined her on a few of those trips over the years, but until today, I had never had the chance to try the hotel’s restaurant—and I’m so glad we finally did. My wife and I came down for dinner around 6:30 p.m. The restaurant was pretty busy, so we grabbed two seats at the bar where Gregg was tending bar. From the moment we sat down, it was clear why the restaurant has such a great reputation. Even during the dinner rush, Gregg remained calm, soft-spoken, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. He acknowledged every guest as they arrived, making everyone feel welcome despite how busy things were. His professionalism, friendly demeanor, and genuine hospitality really stood out and set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. To start, we ordered a side of French fries along with an Aperol Spritz for my wife and an Old Fashioned for me. The drinks were excellent, and the fries were the perfect appetizer while we waited for our meal. For dinner, we ordered the Spicy Calabrian Pizza and the Lulla Burger. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. The burger was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, while the pizza had just the right amount of spice with a delicious balance of flavors. It’s not often that every item on the table is a hit, but this meal certainly was. Overall, Lulla has completely won us over. Between the outstanding food, excellent cocktails, warm atmosphere, and exceptional service from Gregg, this was a dining experience we’ll definitely be talking about. The next time we’re staying at the Motto, Lulla will absolutely be at the top of our list. Highly recommended!
I liked this place a lot. Popped in for lunch on a Tuesday. Everything was great except for the gnats flying around. There were quite a few of them and it disturbed our meal. We sat all the way in the back corner so not sure where they came from but it wasn’t a good look. Also someone shaved in the bathroom and left their razor and hair everywhere which was quite gross. Not sure I’d go back but hopefully they handle those issues.
A group of us stopped by for breakfast and it was a great experience. The service was good and the food was great. Their cocktails were also made very well. I would definitely recommend. My only note to anyone intending on visiting is that the hostess stand is further into the building than you think. When you enter, head straight back until you see the restuant area. My group waited a few minutes too long before realizing we were at the wrong front desk haha.
This will definitely be a repeat spot. Some of the best brunch ive had in the city at a decent price. The service was great, i sat at the coffee bar and had some excellent service from the barista, Briana. Coffee was rich and refreshing also at a great price. I had the eggs breakfast with a side of chicken sausage, simple but packed with a ton of flavor.
Last minute checked out this restaurant next to the Motto Hotel. Couldn’t get table seating but luckily was able to sit at the bar. There is tons of space to just grab a drink and chill while you can wait to get seated. The hostess was really friendly. This spot is really cool as they have a daily happy hour menu from 3PM - 7PM. The Apertivo Bites for 2 was an amazing deal on that daily happy hour menu. The Focaccia, Veal Meatball, and Crispy Fingerlings Potatoes from the Bites were incredible. Ordered the Spicy Calabrian Pizza and Scallops for our mains. Will be back to order meatballs for a main.
