This was a meal I will remember for a long time. I went with a few friends and was expecting a good American restaurant and I left blown away. The food was incredible. From the Baby Pork Chop which had a sauce butter garlic sauce to die for, to the Brick Chicken which rivaled the chicken served at Union Square Cafe, to the unique but delicious Duck Meatloaf and the great drinks, the food was a delightful surprise. The service was also incredible. We had a waiter named Breggen, who was fantastic. He was one of those waiters that make the meal better. From making the table laugh, giving helpful guidance on the menu, and adding backstories behind the dishes, he really made the experience a special one. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend if you haven’t been.
Loved everything about the food and service! Flavors and originality were top, atmosphere and pacing of our courses were perfect, and the service from Briggan was above and beyond. He helped us with a balanced selection and just got us excited for the food in a pleasantly surprising way. Will gladly return!
The meatloaf and tartare were both amazing. The interior design is beautiful and exactly my taste very stylish and cozy at the same time Only thing I’d improve is the wine glasses, since I really appreciate good glassware with wine. Also didn’t fully understand why happy hour is only for the outdoor area But overall, the food was excellent and I’ll definitely be back
Great food and service. Server gave us a mini tour. Nicely decorated. Great cocktail menu. Starters, got the Sheperd's Pie Croquettes and the BLT Wedge salad (which was big enough to share). Mains, got the signature bone-in duck meatloaf and the Rigatoni Bolognese. Everything was delicious but we were stuffed. Highly recommended. Will def be back.
We were there with another couple earlier in Dec. The husband and his son are also in the restaurant business. His son recommended this place. First impression was nice. The restaurant was festively decorated to reflect the holiday season. I wanted to get a drink at the bar but we didn't get there early enough. The bar didn't look that spacious and while there were plenty of tables, the space felt tight to me. We sat at a round table where 3 of us were on the "booth" seat and one sat on the chair. While I felt fine where I sat, the couple's husband sat at the other end of the booth seat and the way he was positioned just seemed like he wasn't 100% at the table. He didn't say anything so I suppose it was fine. It got louder as the evening progressed, luckily we were kind of tucked away so I didn't have to raise my voice taking. One of us ordered the duck meatloaf, which is supposedly their signature dish. I had a bite and definitely prefer the normal duck dish. The branzino was good tho, it was fresh and not overcooked. Their hamburger was pretty standard, but the fries were good. The French martini was delicious and the other drinks looked pretty good, too. We shared two desserts, which were too sweet for me but then I don't have a sweet tooth. The other couple almost finished both, and I forgot to take pictures of them. The service was good overall. I say this with the holidays in mind. If you prefer comfort and space in addition to good food, this may not be a place for you. However, if you enjoy crowds and mostly a younger crowd, then by all means, check this place out.
