Hunt & Fish Club 125 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036 Hunt & Fish Club is a beautiful & upscale restaurant smack in the theater district! My wife & I wanted to finish out our 1 month run- of fun & celebration of our marriage -with a very special touch. We chose Hunt & Fish Club! What a wonderful choice! The food was excellent. The service & ambiance was just as good. The lighting & marble gave it a very opulent touch. Our server Carlos was excellent & I'd go back- just to have his style of table side care! We were sat in a beautiful booth as per our request, thank you Hunt & Fish! To be honest, we were on our way to see Buena Vista Social Club on Broadway & were a bit pressed for time. I'd like to go back and have more time to enjoy and savor the flavors & desserts! Our server recommended a nice & delicious Margarita called the All Falls Down drink. I do recommend. The prices seemed very reasonable for the area & the plates were very good portions. I do recommend Hunt & Fish Club NYC!
1st time Coming to NYC and this gem was next door to our hotel. We were craving a nice steak for our final night in the city and we were blown away ! The flavors! The ambiance ! The service ! It was the best meal I've had in years. It exceeded all my expectations. If I lived in NYC, I would make this a weekly retreat. The Decor was out of this world as well.
My first time here and went to a show in their basement cabaret space. The place is beautiful. The service is top notch. And the food was surprisingly excellent. They start you with delicious eggy popovers. The special chopped salad is almost a meal in itself. Cavatelli with meat sauce was perfectly cooked. And the show was great. Always love seeing Simply Barbra. Be aware that the restaurant is expensive. Drinks and food will set you back a bit, comparable to any New York steakhouse.
I had the opportunity to have dinner at The Hunt and Fish Club before a Broadway show a few months back, and I had an incredible experience. That’s why, when I was looking for a place to host an intimate dinner with a group of 10 friends to celebrate my 40th birthday, this restaurant immediately came to mind. Let me tell you—Candace, Kristin, Duncan, and the entire team did such an amazing job. They made sure that not only the food, wine, and ambiance were incredible, but the service was completely impeccable. I would truly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fabulous night out, an intimate dinner, or simply a gathering with family and friends around great food and amazing drinks. I’m already looking forward to my next experience here.
Our first time here and not sure how we have missed this gem as Hunt and Fish has been in place for 10 years?! Our server Brian was excellent. He gave us great suggestions and recommendations across the board. Place is really beautiful inside the dining room and the bar is awesome. The lighting and positioning of the alcohol is really special. As far as the food, we started with the mixed greens salad which we split and it was still a massive portion! I can’t forget to mention the pop-overs…with some special chive butter which was delish! Husband had the branzino and side or broccoli rabe and I had the Mac and cheese with bacon. We loved everything!! Dessert had the cheesecake which had awesome density. Not too light and not too heavy with fresh berries. So so good. From a marketing perspective and the fact that “supper clubs” are on the rise, wonder if saying that it’s a club deters people? The pic of the establishment looking from the outside shows the dark swanky bar and leather couches so one could potentially think it was private. Other than that one comment, we will be back! Excellent visit for sure!
