Description

Explore Central Park with a former Central Park Conservancy employee and volunteer. Visit iconic spots in the park, including movie sites, and learn about the park's history and impact on the city and its people. Meet your guide at the General Sherman statue on 59th Street (adjacent to the park) and set off on your walk through the park. Once we proceed inside, you’ll learn about the park's history and impact on the city and its people. We’ll see a variety of famous sites including Wollman Skating Rink, Literary Walk, iconic Bethesda Terrace, Bow Bridge and a variety of additional locations. Our tour will end at the Strawberry Fields John Lennon memorial. At the end of the tour, I'm happy to advise you on restaurant options if you desire, since I'm very acquainted with dining options in my Upper West Side neighborhood. This itinerary is customizable; visits to additional places may easily be built into your tour.
