Explore the permanent exhibitions, including New York at Its Core, which focuses on stories of innovation, energy, and struggle of generations of immigrants, politicians, tycoons, dreamers, master builders, and ordinary New Yorkers. Other exhibits rotate frequently telling dynamic stories of New York including, music, dance, photography, and critical historical pivot points affecting the national landscape. Activist New York, presents the passions and conflicts that underlie the city's history of agitation, setting the stage for change in the country. Watch the award-winning short documentary, Timescapes, which explores how New York City grew from a settlement of a few hundred Europeans, Africans, and Native Americans into the metropolis we know today, narrated by Stanley Tucci.Includes
