Had a great lunch here. Drinks are super good and the atmosphere is light and very chill. A good place to stop for drinks or a small lunch, which they do a set menu for decently cheap.
At La Pecora Bianca on Friday night, We sat outside in the city light, Autumn spritz and a glass of white, The kind of evening that’s pure delight. With a vodka rigatoni and chicken parm plate, I entered a spiritual fugue state. The Toscana salad, crisp and bright, Kept our meal balanced all night. But the real star, no question, no if buts or maybes Was the magic of the illustrious manager, Daisy!! The best kind of vibe with effortless charm, She was so cool we were almost alarmed. So go for the pasta, the wine, the scene, But Daisy’s the reason this place reigns supreme! 👸🩷🍝
We started with the whipped ricotta, served with warm, crusty bread. It was creamy and beautifully textured, but a bit too sweet for my taste. The meatballs were a highlight—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, sitting in a rich tomato sauce that made them even better. The tagliatelle was alright—nicely cooked and comforting, but it didn’t quite stand out compared to the other dishes. The gramigna, on the other hand, was filling and absolutely delicious, with a hearty, satisfying combination of flavors that really came together. The NY strip was juicy, tender, and full of flavor—perfectly cooked and easily one of the best dishes of the night. We ended the meal with a big portion of tiramisu, the perfect sweet finish to a delicious dinner. A special shoutout to our server, Ivan, who did a great job taking care of us. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything came out smoothly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Our go-to comfort food in NY and the place we go to celebrate! The whipped ricotta (not pictured) is fantastic. The pasta consistently hits the spot. Service is always quick and efficient. Reservations are recommended on Fridays, weekends, and holidays. Love all the vegetarian options here.
A wonderful after show treat. With family in town and wanted something away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square/midtown/ theatre district, we chose here. It was quite empty because of local and also because it was still the early evening hours. The service was grand. The young man seemed knowledgeable and was quite attentive. He seemed to be the bartender as well 🤭 Location was great. Good was really good and filling. The only thing I found was that when the doors opened we were seated directly in its path so we got all the cold air.
