Outstanding experience!! Amazing food- the focaccia, arrabbiata, and steak were some highlights. Very friendly and helpful staff! Strong wine list and great drinks. Highly recommend!
I had a wonderful experience here for dinner with my friend. The interior design was so pleasing with a pink theme, countless monsteras, draped curtain ceilings, and curved couches. They had a coat check for our bags and coats which helped a lot because we went shopping before. Everything we ate tasted so good. We ordered the focaccia with whipped ricotta, charred octopus, and agnolotti black truffle fonduta. The focaccia was crunchy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. The octopus was crispy and flavored well with lemon and garlic. The truffle pasta was very cheesy on the inside. Payment was easy via QR code on our phone and had a Bilt feature to have an optional discounted Lyft ride to our next destination. I was able to get dropped off at Brooklyn for very cheap, within Manhattan will probably be free. Service was attentive and considerate.
My main complaint is that the solarium is three seasons - do NOT book it if you’re uncomfortable with the New York summer heat. I asked for an accommodation but the dining room was “fully booked” (with ~30+ seats empty at ~6:30 PM). Food is mediocre for its price and ratings
My husband and I wanted to love this place, but so much was wrong… Our artichoke starters were lovely. However, we ordered the ‘for two’ pasta option as my main - which was more of a large portion for one person if hungry & my husband ordered the chicken. My pasta came out and after a while, I started eating as it was getting cold. We chased our server who lived on another planet and she kept saying my husband’s course was just coming. Whilst we waited, our drinks sat at the bar literally gathering dust - despite pointing it out to the server after about 10 mins of watching the ice melt and dilute the drinks :( After 30+ minutes (& me finishing my main) my husband’s main arrives. However, sitting & watching someone eat is just a bit awkward in that kind of setting - especially when charging $60+ for a large bowl of pasta! I told our waitress and she loosely apologised and claimed that the kitchen was busy. When we raised it with the floor manager, she very kindly offered the sides on the house. The meal was still $300+ so the gesture definitely made the experience feel less frustrating - but our server had zero experience and really soured our experience. Ps: The sauce with the chicken is so weird, it was a sweet sauce which totally overpowered the delicate chicken - not a vibe for us. This place has so much potential, but for the price and everything else on offer - I would go elsewhere.
Hard to give this place the justice it deserves ….every dish but one was spectacular. Started with endive salad , focaccia and a meatball- not just Any meatball- an amazing and deep flavored one! The salad was bursting with flavor ! Nothing was “heavy” but everything full of flavor. !! The orecchiette is the BOMB They chop up the burrata and meld it in with the fantastic sauce and scrumptious pasta. The chicken ad flavor and kick - yum. We finished with semolina cake - melt in your mouth ! They keep your leftovers with a claim check - wow wheat a great touch …. Like Arnold said “we’ll be back!!”
