The grilled chicken platter with quinoa and kale salad is a hit! The portion is HUGE and the flavor is excellent with the combination of ingredients. If I go back I’d order the same dish once again. That’s how satisfied I was with the flavor, the portion size and the price. To finish my visit I ordered a scoop of the Dulce de Leche ice cream, which was also fantastic. I would order the exact same thing next time I visit. The restaurant is labeled as Cuban but it features food from different Latin American countries. Saved as a favorite spot to go eat at. Thanks Coppelia!
After spending several hours at the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. We went down to 14th Street in New York City, we were absolutely starving after standing for nearly four hours. A friend who was with us recommended Coppelia, and I’m so glad we decided to stop in. The food was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it was exactly what we needed after a long day in the city. Our waitress, Rosa, was outstanding—very attentive, on point with everything, and provided excellent service from start to finish. The Tamarindo Margarita was well blended perfectly balanced not too sweet. A great dining experience all around. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
This restaurant is located in a very touristy area and is advertised as a Cuban restaurant. While they do serve traditional Cuban dishes, the menu also seems influenced by other Latin cuisines, giving it more of a fusion feel. They did a very good job with the ropa vieja dish. The coffee was good as well, although the dessert selection was somewhat limited. Prices were reasonable and not overly expensive. The restaurant is open 24 hours, and even around midnight there were still many patrons, which created a lively and energetic atmosphere. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and will return again.
Had a gift certificate so decided to try brunch here. Sat at the bar easily on a Sunday morning around 10am, no wait. Food is fine - could be hotter. Had to flag waiter down a few times for more coffee and check. Definitely some character customers in here since they are open 24 hours (people ending their night here - still drunk). Not blown away, don’t think I’ll come back.
The seafood arepa and oxtail empanadas were absolutely delicious! I'd love to come back and try some of the other arepa flavors. The plantains were cooked perfectly.
