Description
The Schooner America is the newest and largest ship in its fleet, designed with a late 1800s style blended with modern 21st-century technology. This 105-foot schooner provides a distinctive sailing experience in New York Harbor, connecting history, art, and the beauty of sailing.
Within five minutes of leaving Chelsea Piers, you will leave behind the noise of the city and feel the calming harbor breeze. The sail route heads south along the Hudson River to Battery Park, passing Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. When wind and time allow, the schooner continues towards Governors Island, sails past the Financial District, and navigates the Buttermilk Channel.
