Travel comfortably by motor coach while hearing about the development and cultural backgrounds of Harlem, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Coney Island from a licensed NYC tour guide.
Visit historic sites such as the Apollo Theater in Harlem, known for launching the careers of Ella Fitzgerald, The Jackson 5, and Marvin Gaye. In the Bronx, see Yankee Stadium, the birthplace of hip hop, and original street art during a walking segment.
In Queens, pass through the ethnically diverse Malba neighborhood and visit Flushing Meadows Park, home of the US Open tennis championships, the New York Mets baseball team, and the Unisphere from the 1964 World’s Fair. Enjoy views of the Brooklyn Bridge from DUMBO before exploring Brooklyn neighborhoods including Williamsburg and Crown Heights, known for their Hasidic Jewish communities alongside younger residents.
If you select the Coney Island option, continue to this historic amusement area to explore the boardwalk and beaches, with time for lunch at Nathan’s Famous (lunch cost not included). The tour concludes by crossing the East River over the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan. Please note traffic conditions may affect the itinerary.
