Excellent location, the employees were all great. But the condition of the rooms was abysmal. Shower head broke off, almost scalding me. The door lock was hanging off so I had to repair it. The dresser drawers were taped because they would open on their own. The old radiator was exposing its piping through busted drywall. On a street with neighboring brownstones listed for almost $10 million, you'd think better attention would be given to this property. Sub $100/night stay is the true value.
I was satisfied with my stay. I was not expecting much given the reviews and the price I paid (I visited in April). The room was decently clean, nice staff and the included breakfast was acceptable for my standards. Pro: - Perfect location near central park and metro station - Nice staff - Good size for the King sized room with big windows and a lot of light. - Breakfast included Cons: - They got some bleach stains in the corridor carpets. - The elevator is kinda slow - Some dust in the drawers and a few stains here and there. Overall I was satisfied. It's for sure not a five-star hotel, but for the price, the location and the staff it was good. I will definitely come back.
