Reviews
I found this restaurant on TikTok, and after looking at their online menu, I was excited to try it. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. (They have changed their menu recently) We ordered the shrimp tacos, guacamole, and steak. The guacamole was bland and lacked flavor. The biggest disappointment, however, was the shrimp tacos. The menu indicated they would be served on corn tortillas, but they came on flour tortillas instead. They were nothing like authentic Mexican tacos. I also asked the waitress for extra lime for the tacos, but it was never brought to the table. The steak itself was decent, but the rice served with it was plain and overcooked. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a lovely patio featuring Mexican-inspired touches. If you’re looking for a place to take photos, it’s a great setting. However, if you’re coming for authentic, flavorful Mexican food, this place falls far short of expectations.
I got recommended this place. Tabu is a great place with an excellent food selection and great cocktails. The patio is a big plus. Friendly staff, good food, and some cocktails— what else can you ask for? 😉 By the way,Laura is great. Well done Tabu and staff 10 out of 10
I went to Tabu last night for my boyfriend birthday 6/23 to have dinner and I can say the food , atmosphere, ambiance was so lovely. Let’s get back to the food Top tier delicious I wanted to try the whole menu everything absolutely delicious authentic food down to the texture perfect. My waiter was amazing Daniel he’s did an amazing job with recommending the food a catering to our needs . The bartender made some amazing drinks my bf was enjoying every one of them so unique. This place is a must go guys you have to experience the ambience and Food it taste amazing.. also I recommend reservations the staff is wonderful here loved my experience!
⭐⭐⭐☆☆ I really wanted to enjoy this place, but overall I left disappointed. My biggest issue was the portion sizes. My entrée looked like it was meant for a child—literally one scoop of rice with barely any beans. While the flavor of my entrée was actually the best part of the meal, the serving was way too small for the price. The elote tasted like it had been left on the char grill for too long, and the tuna tostadas were honestly the worst part of the meal—they had an unpleasant taste that made them hard to eat. The service also left a lot to be desired. We waited forever just to be acknowledged and have our order taken. The first two appetizers eventually came out, but the third appetizer didn’t arrive until the same time as our entrées, which completely defeats the purpose of ordering appetizers. When we asked about the delay, our server said, “We have a lot of people seated outside, sorry for the delay.” But after looking outside, there were only about four occupied tables. It made us feel like the guests dining inside weren’t a priority. Overall, the entrée itself had good flavor, but between the tiny portions, disappointing appetizers, and slow service, I expected much better. I hope they improve because the restaurant definitely has potential. The aesthetic was beautiful but that watermelon drink was absolutely horrible smh
Experienced Tabu for the first time last night & was blown away. It was my best friend’s 33rd birthday and the service was outstanding. When we received our dinner they accidentally brought out an additional chicken enchilada, but the owner was very nice and said he wanted us to try the dish. We also had 2 rounds of complimentary shots and a free dessert. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful ambiance and delicious food. The food was very tasty and the fish was so fresh ! The server Nicolas was great !
