We had a great dinner, the service and the food were excellent. Don't miss the ribeye tonnato and the bread!

Well that was deliciously amazing. I love the makeover from Llama Inn to Cafe Bar J F. It feels light, open, fresh, and modern. The food is fantastic, with a great variety of dishes to choose from and plenty of plates to share. We tried a lot of things, and nothing disappointed — the ceviche (fresh and fabulous), both empanadas, the celery salad (unexpected but amazing), the raw tuna with tomato water (incredible), the black lentils with squid (tasty), and the tonnato with watercress (not traditional, but I’m still thinking about it)... and I discovered my Summer cocktail, the Yayo! Some of the colors on the plates were incredible — vibrant yet monotone in their color palette. Super cool! Can’t wait to go back again.

Let's start with the good parts first: The atmosphere, hospitality, and beverage program are all excellent. They did a great transforming the space into something that feels inviting but modern and sleek. Though the wine list is small, it's full of interesting gems, and the cocktails are all excellent. Why did I give the food 3 stars? Inconsistency and portion size. The grilled potato bread and all raw seafood are excellent. But the rest was a mixed bag. The pasta portion was really small for $22 and the arroz meloso didn't read as main course for $43. The black lentils with squid were overly salty for a table that loves salt. The swordfish felt a little over and the fries were pretty mediocre. Good desserts, especially the tarta de queso. I wouldn't say don't go as they did just open I know they are probably working things out still, but the consistency of the food wasn't there yet, for me at least. Definitely worth seeking out for some drinks and small bites, especially with the large bar they have.

This south american fusion restaurant completely exceeded expectations. From the moment we sat down, every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and packed with unique, delicious flavors. You can tell there is real creativity and attention to detail behind every item on the menu. For starters, I highly recommend the grilled potato bread, empanadas, and Little Neck clams. Each one was outstanding and set the tone for the rest of the meal. For the main course, the tuna ceviche was incredibly fresh and vibrant, the black lentils were rich and flavorful, the arroz melody was perfectly balanced, and the grilled swordfish was cooked beautifully. Honestly, you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. What impressed me most was how unique every dish felt. Nothing seemed ordinary or repetitive. Each plate had its own personality and combination of flavors that made it memorable. The service was equally exceptional. Our waiter was attentive throughout the entire evening, always available when needed and constantly refreshing the table with clean plates and silverware between courses. The level of hospitality made the experience feel polished and special. This was one of the most impressive dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. If they continue operating at this level, I genuinely believe this restaurant has a Michelin star in its future. Highly recommended
