Dinner at Buddakan was a wonderful experience! I will say that, although the food is good, you’re definitely paying for the aesthetic… my boyfriend was paying though so I didn’t care! The interior is absolutely chic and maximalist—I felt transported into a different world once I walked down the gigantic staircase into the main dining area. The lights were low, and the walls in the room we were seated in were covered with bookshelves lined by golden books. We ordered the dim sum tasting, the short rib, the lobster fried rice, and the brussels sprouts. The dim sum was a true standout for me—especially the egg roll, which was full of shrimp, meat, and veggies and paired with a delicious creamy sauce. The short rib was also amazing. The bed of mushrooms and noodles it was served on was flavorful and the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. The drinks were good as well, specifically the lychee martini (I forget its name). Overall, I am glad to have had this dining experience, and recommend it.
The vibe and food here is great! It’s also very good for larger parties. We were a group of 10 and I was able to make a reservation without dealing with a pre fix meal or being put into a private room which I appreciated. We went family style for our dishes which worked very well. Everything we got was delicious, but the garlic fried rice, kung pao monkfish, crab rangoons and wok fried xo cheung fun noodles were my favorites. I also tried the Blush cocktail which was similar to a lychee martini. I loved it and it was perfectly sweet. Overall it was on the pricey side once we split everything, but the vibes were great for a nice night out.
Had a fantastic experience! Gabriel, our server, steered us toward some amazing appetizers and entrées. It was also a nice surprise to have the manager check on us during the meal. The vibe is super chic and cozy, and it works perfectly for any group size. I especially loved that they played smooth house music that added to the atmosphere without being too loud to talk over. Can’t wait to bring more friends back before the summer is over! (Check out the photos!)
We were in town on a girls trip and Beau was our waiter. He delivered excellent service to us had an absolutely amazing personality and turned a normal dinner into a fantastic experience. We’re so glad to have met him and had the pleasure of his service. He is the kind of person who brings personality to a restaurant and excellent service all around. The food was absolutely amazing too big shout out to the chef! Delicious and hot and the manager who came over to us to check how everything was was also just so lovely kind to us. Finally the deserts were heavenly not sure if I can say much else! Thank you Buddakan for making our trip memorable!
Buddakan was the perfect choice for celebrating my friend’s birthday with a group. From the moment we walked in, the space felt stunning very beautiful, dramatic, and aesthetically pleasing. The ambiance alone makes it feel like a special occasion spot. We opted for the tasting menu ($110 per person), and it was absolutely worth it. The menu included a wide variety of appetizers, entrées, and a dessert flight, giving everyone the chance to try so many different dishes. Everything was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The food felt very Asian-authentic while still offering unique, creative twists that made each dish stand out. The cocktails were also excellent well crafted and enjoyable throughout the night. On top of that, the service truly elevated the experience. The staff was warm and welcoming, and our waitress was especially friendly, joyful, and attentive, which made the celebration even better. Overall, it was a great dining experience from start to finish. Delicious food, amazing atmosphere, and wonderful service. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it for group dinners or special occasions.
