Really great experience here. Lauren took care of us and was honestly a huge part of why the night was so enjoyable. Super personable, easy to talk to, and just made us feel really comfortable the whole time. My daughter loved her and keeps asking when we’re going back to see her again .You can tell when someone genuinely enjoys what they do, and it really made the experience stand out. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Only small feedback would be that the substitution charges for pretty much any change were a little annoying.
such a cozy and beautiful atmosphere nestled into the upper east side. popovers were crazy and so delicious. hard to pick a favorite dish!!! thought it would be the salmon but the chocolate fudge cake at the end was spectacular. cannot wait to go back!!
Nearly everything was oversalted especially our side of mushrooms, and the "Lobster Pot Pie" that I ordered was, in fact, just lobster soup with a bread puff placed on top. This is not a matter of semantics but rather one of false advertising. Grossly mislabeling a menu item is simply unacceptable given the cost of this place. I ordered a lobster pot pie expecting an oven baked pastry filled with lobster, vegetables and gravy. What I was served was not a pastry, but rather a stovetop prepared lobster soup or chowder with a bread puff placed on top. The difference in cooking method means a lot when it comes to flavor and texture, and I would not have splurged on "lobster soup with bread puff". Service was solid and our wobbly table was quickly fixed without our bringing it up, but you come to a place like this for the food and they are charging big league prices($280 for 2 before tip, just one cocktail and two bottles of Saratoga water) so this venue gets two stars for the false advertising and oversalting.
