It has been my 9th time here...., food espectacular. Had a dinner with my wife. Food always fresh, tasty, and Service is on point. The ambiance is dark and intimate and special for any type of occasion. I highly recommend their pasta and calamari dishes; you will not be disappointed. This restaurant is a hidden gem
We had a wonderful dinner at Alice, and it’s easily one of our favorite finds in the West Village. Every dish that came to the table was excellent — thoughtfully prepared and genuinely memorable. The wine pairings deserve special mention: the recommendations were phenomenal, and each one made the food taste even better. Our waitress was warm and attentive without ever hovering, and the entire staff made us feel taken care of from the moment we walked in. The space itself is the real charm. It’s intimate and softly lit, the kind of room where a dinner stretches on longer than you planned because you don’t want to leave. Perfect for a date night or any evening you want to feel a little tucked away from the city. We’ll absolutely be back.
I go out to eat often. This was one of the best, most memorable dining experiences of my life! It started with the hostess, Rhianna... So lovely and polite, escorting us to the bar while they set up our table for 6. Then, Emmanuel, the owner... Wow, what can I say?!? He saw that our party was a group of business professionals and knew that we had "decision fatigue" so he asked if we would be comfortable selecting basically everything for us, from the 2 bottles of wine we drank to the appetizers, pasta course and entrees, to dessert. I even asked him to select my after dinner Amaro because he did such an amazing job with everything else. And not surprisingly, he chose the one I would have chosen myself (Nonino). He even left the bottle on the table for us with extra glasses so everyone else could try it. (FWIW, most of the others in my group had no idea what Amaro was, but they loved it!). I have literally eaten at hundreds, if not thousands, of restaurants in my lifetime and, again, this one stands out. I'm not downtown often, but I will have to find a reason to get back to Alice!
We stopped in at Alice, having already dined elsewhere. We had some time to kill and the waiter Nick suggested we simply have some tea. He was extremely gracious, and the ambience was inviting, so we stayed for a delightful 30 minutes. It seems to be a lovely place with an interesting menu, and we plan to come back for dinner soon!
Valentines dinner had many hits! The oysters were amazing, had a nice salty buttery taste. The scallops were delicious with a tasty puree. Definitely the highlight of the courses. Tartare was a treat but the toasted bread was the star. Like was that brioche or what ?!! Last but not least the cake. Omg it was so rich, decedent and sweet. Best cake I’ve had a restaurant. My entree was the short beef rib. It was so tender. Omg ! The glazed carrots were perfect. This restaurant is a lovely vibe. The enclosed space is cool, although it’s basically outside. It was so warm and comforting, even with other guests coming and going. There was no wait for our reservation. Our appetizers came out within minutes of placing our orders. The entrees did take a while, seemed like some confusion coming from the kitchen. When the entrees came they were hot & tasty. Our server was full of personality, charming and friendly. Overall it was a lovely dinner.
