Great place for the price. Clean and well stocked with outlets and toiletries. Great location in Chinatown a 10 minute walk from the water. Rooms are pretty small and minimalist (no adjustable ac, no fridge or coffee maker), and it doesn’t feel like a big chain. But if you just need a clean, simple place to sleep in downtown manhattan, this is a great option. Would definitely stay again. Near the train, so bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.

We stayed at the Mimosa Hotel for 4 nights and would definitely recommend it to budget travellers. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and those were the things we cared about most. The room was small but perfectly sufficient for our needs. The location is excellent – close to the Manhattan Bridge in the heart of Chinatown - with an easy walk to the subway and Little Italy. The staff were very kind and welcoming throughout our stay. Thank you for a great stay!

This hotel is a great value. I had a pleasant stay. The room was well equipped, very clean, and not too small. I was nervous about staying here because of the reviews complaining about noise, but those are either overdramatic or the hotel has fixed the issue. My room faced the train, and it didn't sound any different than the heat kicking on in my house. Unless you're the type of person that wakes up from any miniscule change in the noise environment whatsoever, you won't have an issue with the noise (if you are that person, you'll struggle anywhere in NYC regardless). I loved that they provided me a list of local food suggestions. I visited a couple of them and they were great. I would stay here again, especially for the price.

Room is a little small, but it was nice and clean, so it wasn't a problem for a short stay. Amenities were provided such as soft toothbrushes and toothpaste. Room is surprisingly quiet despite being in a busy area. Staff were very nice and friendly. They held onto our luggage for a few hours after we had already checked out. They also provided local food recommendations which was very helpful. Location is in walk-able distance to a metro stop. Also located near a paid parking garage, which is convenient if commuting with a car.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and we would recommend this hotel. We were in the city to visit some family in Chinatown for some wedding festivities and loved how close it was to everything. It's nestled in Chinatown, but we easily walked all over. The rooms are small, but we weren't ever in them other than in the morning and to sleep at night. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean, but am taking a star off for some mild things such as water pressure and our sink starting to clog if we ran it for too long. I never brought it up to staff, because it's not a huge deal. The service was great. Anything we needed, the folks at the desk happily obliged. There's a space in the basement with a fridge, a microwave, and a vending machine. My husband and I were shocked that we couldn't hear the train as much as we thought. Neither of us were woken up by it and it was a great surprise. The walls, however, are thin. Our neighbors the first night were quiet and we didn't hear them but that second morning, we were woken up by a man talking very loudly on his phone. We will definitely be back whenever we're back in NYC. :)
