The hotel crew at the reception - Christopher and Keyuon are the best team! Such a nice guys, very helpfull with lots of smile and positive energy. We came to NYC yesterday specially to celebrate my birthday, when Christopher heared about that he made an awesome surprise! :) aditional he took very well care about me and my fiansee with kind and also gave us super advices about stay. When Christopher is on the watch - you know you are in good hands! 🙌
It’s a budget hotel dressed up to be more than what it is. Breakfast is whatever, rooms are clean, staff is welcoming but unhelpful when you actually need them to help out. Apathy is common amongst the staff. DO NOT PARK WITH THEM!! It’s a scam!! They will tell you if you park with their partner garages you will get a rate that averages $10 to the standard rate but the parking rates are managed by the garage independently and they don’t really lower the price even if you get your parking validated. They quoted me a rate of $75 a night and the garages charged me $85. Use app like BestParking and SpotAngel. This kind of misinformation is rampant in all aspect of this hotel! TLDR: decent room, budget hotel don’t be fooled by the location there are better options around here!! DO not park with them!
Great location: walkable, easy access to public transport, and lots of food options throughout the day and night. The area is safe too. I had the studio mini kitchenette, and it’s small in there. I can do without the balcony; they should’ve just made the room bigger. The cleaning service is great, as they do it daily. The complimentary breakfast is just passable. The food options don’t change much; only the three hot options change daily (ie, different sausages, different egg preparation, etc.). There aren’t much food options to choose from either. Overall, the breakfast was underwhelming. The elevators are slow, especially during peak times. Fortunately, I was on the second floor, so I can reasonably just walk up and down the stairs. The nightly cost, relative to other options in NY, is good.
An honest review if you’re traveling with a baby or toddler. The rooms are very small. They do have cribs available which was great, but it barely fit. Throw in a stroller and a couple of suitcases and there’s hardly any room anywhere for anything, even with the kitchenette. The bathrooms are also very small and are showers only, making it difficult to bathe a baby. Location was great. If you have a stroller, then doing the metro at Penn Station is your best bet because of elevators. The metro entrances and exits closest to the hotel don’t have elevators. We ended up doing mostly buses because of this. AC was great. Breakfast was great. Elevators during breakfast time are a total nightmare. Sometimes waiting 15-20 minutes to get a lift. Earlier you go the better. There are 45 floors, so lots of people going up and down. Staff was incredible and the bag check was great.
