Days Inn by Wyndham New York Chinatown

Reviews
As an NYC local, I rarely ever leave reviews unless a place genuinely deserves it. I know this spot has a ton of mixed reviews online, but honestly, take it from me and trust this word. I’ve been staying here multiple days a week all through June while dealing with moving apartments, and the stay has been great. Rooms are always clean, and the staff is super accommodating. Anytime there was even a minor issue, they were immediately down to upgrade my room to make up for it, and they’ll hook you up with a late checkout for free if you just ask. As for staff - Kris (i believe his name was) at the front desk most nights- he was super helpful . He recognized me as a regular after a few nights and always went out of his way to look out for me and added whatever he could to make the stay better. Super nice and helpful guy. Don't let the mixed reviews throw you off. If you need a reliable spot, this place takes care of people.
Stay here at your own risk! This place has DISHONEST FRAUDULENT pricing! They printed two conflicting receipts for me with different amounts and proceeded to charged me $700 for 2 nights when online it states $130 per night! First time I stayed her in a bind a similar situation occurred. I thought it was a fluke. Meanwhile my room was barged into by another male guest they gave my key to at the time! He claimed that he requested a room change and that was it . I decided to give it another go and although this time there were no intruders I did find suspicious things about the room . Not sure if this hotel should be on a watch list ! Ie. Odd speaker like devices , lock on the outside of the bathroom, plus plain FILTH! BUYER BEWARE and STAY CLEAR!!!! Not sure if the photos contain rat or dog hair , insect feces, boogers, and more either way its gross! Possible to contract mites etc!
I stayed here for four nights and enjoyed it. I slept better in my bed than I have at a hotel in a long time. Room was modern and clean. Breakfast was basic and filling. Front desk was nice and super helpful. For a budget hotel, it was perfect. Plus, it's within walking distance of so many great bars and restaurants.
Nice 4 rooms a floor style hotel. It does kind of give off the "hostle" feel by design but was not that loud. My only real complaint is the room temperature cannot be set higher than 65°. I mean u can set the thermostat at higher, but it never reads or feels higher than 65° in the room and I tried every setting. I can see the point behind limiting the heat, (as such a small floor plan of each floor) but plz adjust it to 70° at least. Not all of us prefer a cool breeze so to speak. Otherwise be prepared to Bundle up and use the blankets. To be fair, I also stayed during the 1-24/25-2026 snow/ice storm so it is better than 26° outside 😆. I would still recommend this hotel to anyone and likely will return as it was reasonably priced, but I mist say that might be in the summertime 😀 Update: I extended my stay yet again and all of the staff are super friendly, efficient and accommodating. I went to breakfast and I happened to notice that room 1301 has the floor to itself at night because all other room floor space us used for the breakfast n storage. If u want great views and a floor to yourself at night, request 1301. But be warned, the elevators and guests coming back n forth from breakfast 6-9am will most definitely keep u up if u were hoping to sleep in. I believe this is where that one review complaint below mine came from. During the day, the hotel is a little noisy here and there but about midnight or 7am it's pretty quiet.
