Super accessible off the L line. Efficient operation, clean and safe, with quality drinks and sound. Saw Wy Lyf and it was rad except for some sound problems on the third song. Easy good time though, great show. At one point some masked security (?) dude came up to me during the encore motioning and trying to talk, I said I couldn’t understand him, and he then disappeared back toward the stage (!). Never saw him again. Was weird. Would go back. Intimate vibe.
Overall rating: 4.6 Selfishly this review is just for myself. I didn’t realize there were different rooms and levels. I thought I’ve been before but I think I confused it with another spot. Each floor has its own DJ and the outside is so nice. Would definitely love to come back with a group of friends vs a date. I love how large the space is as well.
I’ve been here over a dozen times now and I can confidently say it’s my favorite place in the city to see a show. Great sound systems, amazing lighting, constantly booking the best local and headlining acts, & plentiful free water stations all make for a great experience. Sometimes the main hall can get scarily overcrowded for headlining artists, but from my experiences it frees up around 2-3 when people start leaving and then it becomes much more bearable.
We’re Hye House NYC a collective of young Armenians throwing community parties and cultural events in NYC. (Follow the gang @hyehouse.nyc on Instagram) We booked out the VIP Section at Elsewhere for DJ Habibeats, and brought out 50 people. It was incredible. The Elsewhere team made the night seamless and special for our group. Arianna, Francisca, and Lee were amazing to work with: flexible where needed, present, and kind the whole time. Huge shout-out to Lee, (SECOND PHOTO
