I don't ever leave reviews but after what me and my family encountered this past week while visiting NY, I had to figure out how. The food was good, drinks were great but the highlight was the staff, not just because they were so friendly and hospitable but because of their handling of what could have been a not so pleasant incident. There was a very belligerent and angry (drunk?) guest that was arguing with his wife and it got to a point where our server called for help and security. But then, one of the managers named Max stepped outside and approached the man and was able to deescalate the situation and remove him without incident, and escorted him calmly inside and out of the restaurant, and then came back out to check on us and make sure we were all ok. Then another manager named Char also checked on us and apologized and our check ended up being taken care of by the restaurant, which was just so unexpected, but appreciated you don't see customer service like that much anymore. I have to give so much praise to the incredible staff, I don't know if this is part of their training, but they all performed their roles perfectly. I've seen many drunk or unruly customers in my day, but the way that young male manager was able to deescalate was a masterclass in conflict resolution. You never want to encounter guests like that, but it was so well handled. You can really tell management is ready to respond to anything and really cares about their guests and not only their enjoyment but their safety. By the time hotel security came up, the issue was resolved and everyone was back in the pool and enjoying their margaritas. This management team deserves all the praise in the world; and I really mean team!
Danny was an outstanding server at the LandShark Bar & Grill during the World Cup Final! Even with the restaurant being incredibly busy, he remained friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. He kept our drinks full, made sure our food came out just right, and checked on us regularly without missing a beat. His excellent service helped make an exciting day even more enjoyable. If you have the chance to be served by Danny, you’re in great hands!
