The Wallace
New York
Beoordelingen
My family (husband, son and I) just spent five nights at the Wallace and it was perfect. Our room was spacious - with a separate bedroom and living room - which was the key to sanity over a longer stay. The bathroom was palatial by NYC standards - with an automatic fan so no one ever steamed or smelled up the room. Staff was polite and attentive, but happy to leave us alone if preferred. The location is fantastic for a family vacation, with so many family-friendly restaurants and Central Park so close by. Catching a cab down Broadway for other adventures is a breeze, too. We really could not have chosen a better spot. I took one star off the service review only because their Jazz lounge is so busy at night, there is no way to easily order food from the kitchen up to your room! I’m sure it’s possible, and I should have asked the front desk, but the lounge hostess was not inclined to help. A small blip in an otherwise perfect stay!
My husband and I stayed here in mid-June and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a great location. The staff were super welcoming and helpful. Gave us free water the entire stay, which was a blessing given how hot it was! The snacks and coffee in the room were also so nice, since we were both starving after a long travel day. The room was perfectly clean and the bed was very comfy. My only wish was that there were more shower towels provided in the room, but it’s possible we just couldn’t find them! It also felt super safe, where a key had to be used to get up the elevator, which was appreciated. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and hope to make this our regular spot when we come to NY.
Stayed at the The Wallace Hotel for a 3 night/4 day staycation with my best friend and my puppy, and we had the most wonderful experience. We stayed in the one-bedroom double queen suite and truly felt so welcomed from beginning to end. Every single staff member we met — the doormen, concierge team, custodial staff, and bartenders at The Lounge — were incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely fun people to get to know. Everyone made both us and my puppy feel so comfortable and cared for. A special thank you to Betty at the concierge for checking us in and always greeting my dog with the warmest smiles and hugs whenever we passed through the lobby. Naika also made our checkout process so easy and kind on our last day, which honestly made us even sadder to leave. It’s rare to stay somewhere where the hospitality feels this sincere. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and truly special stay in NYC!
I’d highly recommend it! The hotel is lovely and located in the perfect UWS area. We had a wonderful stay, especially in our beautiful, well-equipped king bed suite. It was super modern and clean, with a great-sized bathroom, a big shower, and excellent water pressure—something you don’t often find in New York, even at nice hotels. But what really stood out was the staff. It felt like we were staying with friends, and everyone was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Everyone we met was genuine and ready to assist. A huge shout-out to all the staff! We also appreciated the extra length the hotel went to, allowing us to store our bikes on site. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and staying here again.
We stayed at The Wallace for two nights last month and had a great experience. The hotel feels stylish and welcoming, and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious, very clean, and the wooden floors were beautifully maintained. The shower had excellent water pressure, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like slippers. The location is also very convenient. There’s a good Thai restaurant nearby, and just a short walk away, there are various bus lines, making it easy to get around the Upper West Side. We stayed during Valentine’s Day, and there was live music at the bar on the first floor in the evening, which created a lovely and romantic atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to New York!
