Service and staff are still impeccable. The room service food is not good. It’s bad, variety and quality. Cheese plate, literal 3 cubes of cheese. Pate plate, cube of pate. Period. Booked premium rooms on 2 occasions specifically for to have a bathtub, neither “upgraded” room had a tub. I’ve always loved The Carlyle but I’ll be trying other options.

The Carlyle Hotel can be summed up in two words: Class and Hospitality! From top to bottom and from front to back of house everyone was genuinely kind and happy to help. The staff was welcoming and treated our 4 year old like a king, showering him with prizes, little gifts, high fives and plenty of smiles! Madison king room was clean and welcoming, love the murals on the walls. Breakfast at the restaurant was a perfect start to our day. Omelette was executed perfectly, it was creamy and luscious, and the bacon perfectly crisp. Pancakes were hearty and delicious and the service was attentive. Easy to see why the Carlyle is such an iconic hotel with a rich history. And don’t forget to check out the piano bar, Bemelmans. Amazing vibe when they have live jazz music and top notch martinis!

I stayed at The Carlyle for a recent gala. First class service started the second you walk up to those revolving doors. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The moment you hit the lobby, the honeysuckle scent hits you like a wave of calmness. Checking in was very easy. I had booked a standard room, but it felt nothing like a basic room. The room was a very decent size, especially for NY. The bed was extremely comfortable and oh my, the bath robe! So incredibly soft and luxurious. I will definitely be booking the Carlyle again. Don’t forget to stop by Bemelmans for a classic cocktail and some late night jazz. It had a great crowd even for a Monday night.

We had a really special stay here, and what we’ll remember most is the people. The staff were not just professional, but genuinely kind in a way that felt natural and unforced — every interaction, from the smallest moment to the more thoughtful touches, made us feel truly welcome. It’s easy for a storied hotel to lean on its history, but here you actually feel why it earned that reputation in the first place. You can feel the care in everything they do. It made a lasting impression on us, and we’re very grateful for the experience.

Our experience here was beyond explainable. The hotel it's self was beautiful! I have to eat gluten free and they had excellent gluten free options. My daughter doesn't have to eat gluten free and her food looked also looked delicious. While we were there, their was an illustrator drawing pictures of every group having tea. Her illustrations made are day and are precious. Our server and server captain was very attentive and polite checking on us daily, asking how the food was. Tea at the Carlyle was a magical experience and I recommend this.
