Great spot stopped for drinks. Very clean throughout bar was spotless not sticky bathrooms were great. Drinks well made. People next to me at the bar got food looked good. Will come back for food for sure. Was not busy at all early afternoon great time to stop in started filling up when we left. Bartender could’ve been friendlier and could’ve come back to see if we wanted more drinks but didn’t seem interested. The next bartender was amazing!!!
Very nice pub in the centre of New York, the staff is lovely and the food is good. Beware of dress code before coming and that minors can't stay after 9PM. The fiddle made me do it is definitely worth a try!
This was a great place and great experience. Great drinks not weak, great staff, great music. Food was pretty good. The crowd was mostly younger people maybe 20-30 year olds with some older folks. Everyone had a great time. Price per person depends on how many drinks you get and food.
Great Irish-themed atmosphere with such a fun vibe. The DJ doesn’t take requests, but honestly, the setlist was really good, so we didn’t even mind. We all had an amazing time. The prices are reasonable considering it’s in a great area, and getting in was pretty easy compared to other places in New York where it can feel almost impossible. It definitely became one of my favorite spots. I would absolutely come back.
(09/26/25) It was parent's night out/birthday celebration. Let me just say its been years that I haven't been to the Mean Fiddler. (In my late 20s I was there a lot hahaha sigh good times, anywhooo) I loved the Halloween ambiance they had going on especially their drink menu. Great choices by the way! We ordered margaritas, APPLE CIDER MARGARITA and AUTUMN SPRITZ! (Yum!!!!) It's from their fall drink menu. We didn't eat much but we did order mozzarella sticks and it was so cheesy, we enjoyed it! Our bartender was very attentive and the service was top notch. Other customers that were there were also enjoying themselves as much as we did. The DJ that night was bringing it back with old school music and had everyone dancing. It was such a great night that we even met an amazing couple from Texas. I definitely want to go back and do their bottomless everything ha! :) see you guys soon!
