Little Charlie Hotel
New York

Very cute hotel. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. I really liked the location and felt safe. The only downside was that our room was on the first floor and could hear people throughout the night and early morning. I can’t sleep with ear plugs 😭 but appreciate they did offer some, which is very thoughtful.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay! we arrived after hours and the self check in process was so smooth. We loved the room, the shower was amazing, the bed comfortable and the AC was easy to use. My only issue is that parking was a bit hard to find so late at night but we figured it out and definitely will be coming back for our next trip:)
The Little Charlie Hotel was the perfect choice for me after a 4.5-hour bus ride from Boston to NYC. Located in Midtown on a quiet, safe street with plenty of nearby restaurants, it’s an ideal spot. Upon entering, the lounge felt warm and cozy, featuring comfy couches, exposed brick walls, and shelves filled with books. The concierge desk and elevators are just a few steps in. Since it was July 3rd and a sweltering 100 degrees, the pitcher of iced water and cups provided before the elevator was a welcome relief. I requested a quiet room away from the street, and the staff accommodated me with a very peaceful room on the third floor. As noted in other reviews, the room is compact—typical of minimalist micro-living—but it includes nice touches like mid-century light fixtures, remote-controlled shades, a flat-screen TV, and a retro red fridge, giving it a sophisticated, chic feel without being overdone. The AC worked perfectly, chilling the room within minutes, and two bottles of Fuji water were waiting in the fridge. The bathroom was impeccably clean, and the square rainfall showerhead with its Japanese-style koi fish curtain was a great touch. The highlight of the room was the mattress—cushy yet firm—along with the incredibly soft sheets and blankets. After a long, hot day, it was wonderful to get cozy and drift off to sleep. As a 51-year-old woman who doesn’t mind compact spaces, it was perfect. While I only stayed for one night this time, I will definitely return to the Little Charlie Hotel for longer stays when visiting friends and family. It offers a private, reasonable space in an expensive city without any pretense; you truly get more than what you pay for. I also noticed the rooftop features dome-like plastic bubbles for lounging. It was too hot to experience them during this trip, but I’m already looking forward to returning in the fall to relax in them.
This is an amazing place to stay in NYC. I'm visiting from San Diego and it's my first time here. I'm so comfortable in my room. I asked for a window with a view, and was pleasantly surprised when I checked in! They went above and beyond with providing what I asked for. No detail was left out. If you want a wonderful experience, I 10/10 recommend Little Charlie's. Centrally located, you can walk to a lot of cool places. And the Continental breakfast is top - notch. Very fresh pastries and fruit. Coffee and tea with all of the fixings. I'll be back for sure 🗽
A cozy small hotel in a great location. The room was compact, but had everything we needed. It was a nice bonus that breakfast was included, making it easy to start the day. Everything went very smoothly during our stay. Plus, there was the best grocery store right next door!
