Hotel Belleclaire
New York
Recensioni
Our stay at Hotel Belleclaire was absolutely fantastic. We ended up staying longer than planned after our flight was canceled, which gave us the opportunity to experience three different room types—and every one of them was wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a charming boutique feel and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless, and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep after long days exploring New York City. What truly made our stay stand out was the staff. Every person we encountered was kind, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. When our travel plans unexpectedly changed, they went out of their way to help make the situation as stress-free as possible. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay at Hotel Belleclaire again. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-maintained boutique hotel with outstanding service on the Upper West Side, this is an excellent choice.
We were really looking forward to our stay at Hotel Belleclaire, but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. We booked a room that included breakfast, but “breakfast included” actually meant receiving vouchers for the bakery next door. The vouchers only cover a very limited amount, so if you want something as simple as a second coffee or a more substantial breakfast, you have to pay extra. That feels misleading when breakfast is advertised as included. At check-in, we were told we had been upgraded to a Queen room. However, it was impossible to see how this was an upgrade. The room was very small, the bed was tiny for two adults, and the mattress was uncomfortably firm. If this was an upgrade, it’s hard to imagine how small the standard rooms must be. The hotel’s location on the Upper West Side is great, but that alone doesn’t make up for the overall experience. Between the misleading breakfast arrangement and the so-called room upgrade, the stay simply didn’t live up to our expectations. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
I visited Belleclaire with a group of students, and we loved our stay! Apart from an amazing location, the hotel is charming, staff are friendly, shout out to the reception staff and doorman Andrew. Breakfast at the French bakery downstairs is not only super convenient, but delicious. Thank you so much for a lovely stay, we will be back!
I read great reviews about this hotel and I wish I was writing one now. Instead of experiencing a 4 star experience I got a room which was barely worthy of 2 stars. It was more akin to a store room with frugal consideration for its presentation. The room was barely 3 meters X 3.5 metres in size and with the "deluxe queen bed" there was barely any room to manoevre. The room was noisy and you could hear everything going on in the corridor outside the room. On the positive side the room was spotlessly clean and the hotel's location was good but for £254 per night it was very poor. The photo shown my room 203 view from the bed. My reply to the Hotel Belleclaire: Thanks for reaching out to me and for your honest admission my room was not up to standard. I have attached the photo of my room for you to contemplate and ask yourselves "is this the four star accommodation we advertised?" You will realise why I described it as a two star room and that my criticism of its standard was completely justified. if you really do deeply value my relationship with the hotel then you would have no hesitation in refunding the difference. Platitudes go no way to make me feel any better about my experience at your hotel; I was not going to let the room intrude on my enjoyment of my holiday in New York. I had an otherwise great time, but only positive action would make up for my poor accommodation, and I don't mean for my next visit!
The Hotel Belleclaire is a true New York City treasure! We are so happy to have stayed there this past week, despite getting caught in a blizzard and having to extend our stay! This elegant, architectural gem of a property is centrally located on the Upper West Side. Fantastic neighborhood! The rooms are comfortable, airy, and beautifully appointed. The staff is outstanding! This team understands hospitality and graciousness like no other. Big kudos to Benedict, Maria, Sean, and everyone else whose names we (unfortunately) don't have. They've raised the bar on what it means to make guests feel special. And if you're going to be stranded in a blizzard, this is where you want to be stranded! We will most definitely return.
