My friend and I really liked this place. We had a couple reasonably priced drinks here before attending a show nearby in the neighborhood. The bartender was really chill and hooked us up with a beer and shot special for 8 bucks. This place also has a really chill and hospitable back patio area, very large, with a bocce ball court and a bunch of tables and chairs. Super cool. I would return as soon as possible.
A thousand stars for this place. I was there on a Friday afternoon. The bartender, a charming young woman with bangs who should be paid more probably, knew everyone who walked in the door, and was personable, professional, and efficient. She also makes the brine for the picklebacks and it is so good. She also asked me about my book and listened to me rant about murder mystery authors for a few minutes and did not seem remotely bored, so A+ for tolerance of my shit. Also the beers are *cheap*. I've got a thing at LoHi in a couple weeks and I 100% will be pregaming here again. I am going to pregame here every single time I have a thing in the area, actually. I pray this place sticks around, Brooklyn needs more bars like this.
Cool spot. Very close to the BK monarch and other venues were you can sit down wait and have a few drinks to pre game. Staffs is pretty chill, dope environment, and overall a good time.
A classic nyc dive bar, good basic drinks and many draft beers. There is a nice pool table and a large back yard with a boccie court! No food tho they will sell various potatoe chip bags.
