This is a clean and friendly place to stay. Beds are comfortable. Has what you need and easy access to the town. Definitely staying here again on next trip.
I stayed at The Gatsby because it was close to an event that I attended in the area. It's a narrow size building but I found it met my needs for the evening. You have to hit a bell at the entrance in order to be allowed in then there are stairs leading to the check in area. The staff that was there when I arrived wasn't rude but he was not warm and fuzzy. I was given a room on the second floor with a view of the street. It was sound proof so no problem. The room was small but very nice. Heads up you will have to run the shower for a while until the hot water comes up. Also the tub is jacuzzi style but I didn't try it. No time to try it so I don't know if it was operational. The right side of the door to the closet does not open completely because it hits the AC/Heat system. I found the room met my needs in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and the basic things I needed. No magnifying mirror for makeup. It was a great price for the night as well. The ground floor has a small area to lounge in and have coffee and snacks. The morning staff was a lot more warm and friendly and we had a nice conversation. She was very nice. I will stay there again if I have any other events in the area. Good value. I liked it.
