Shout out to the awesome morning staff at The Crown restaurant. You were all so friendly and welcoming to my 3 year old during breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. I booked a room with 2 queens and they were surprisingly spacious with great views. The location is great and we found plenty of family friendly restaurants nearby in Little Italy. Hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There is also a huge outdoor terrace on one of the levels with bench swings, connect 4 and Jenga, great for kids. The only minor downside is that we were there during World Cup so it wasn’t possible to eat at the hotel restaurant in the evenings because it was all reserved and not super kid friendly. But, it was easy enough to order food delivery if you have a tired and fussy toddler who thinks that staying in a hotel room is the cats meow!

Convenient location, great service, not great rooms for more than 1, problem with fire alarm We appreciated the location in Chinatown that is a reasonable walk to the subway. The beds are comfortable and rooms are fairly spacious for NYC. The sliding bathroom door has a large opaque glass panel that shines light directly in the sleeping area and doesn’t lock. Anytime someone in our room went to the bathroom during the night, we all woke up. The bathroom door is very close to the bed. The fire alarm went off around 4:00 am. Before we could leave the room, the hotel announced that it was a false alarm. I’ve seen this in other reviews and assume it is an ongoing problem. This was in early May. The 2nd floor lounge was a much appreciated extra space and bathroom for our group but was closed for an event every day of our stay after the first day. Our room on the 20th floor was quiet. We had a view of the Manhattan Bridge and saw a Paramount movie being filmed in the street. I would not stay here again due to the bathroom door and the ongoing fire alarm issue.

My room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was very kind. It is steps away from Chinatown and very close to Little Italy, so getting a good meal was very easy. The hotel was also close to Subway entrances. The rooftop bar was very convenient for when we wanted a quick and relaxing cocktail. I would stay here again!

This was our second stay at Hotel 50 bowery and once again, everything was perfect. The bed was super comfortable, room gets cold and stays at the temperature I set it at, great water pressure, decent sized room for Manhattan, beautiful unobstructed views, its quiet, and the location doesn't get better honestly! I also love the 2nd floor area for sitting, working, and am appreciative of the unlimited water fountain and fresh apples in the morning. The staff is wonderful. There was a situation with the fire alarm for 2 nights but they handled it really well and I am so appreciative. I understand they put safety first. I would absolutely stay here again (and only here!)

Lovely hotel. Location is great- the chaos of Canal street takes a bit of getting used to but there are ample alternative subway connections if you want to avoid it. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The service was phenomenally attentive; we got several emails from management checking in on how we were doing during the stay. There was also a minor issue with the elevator that was promptly resolved by the front desk. And above all- the rooftop bar has great cocktails/mocktails and a spectacular view. This was the best Manhattan hotel I've stayed in- I highly recommend!
