The cocktails are so unique and delicious! The staff are incredibly kind, and the atmosphere is so relaxing and cozy. I had such a peaceful and wonderful time there! I’d definitely love to become a regular! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try the food this time, so I’d love to enjoy the food next time as well!
If I were Pushkin, I would write an ode for each item on this menu — because every single one deserves nothing less. This isn't a restaurant, it's a theater of the senses. The food is creative, the drinks are something else entirely — you just have to taste them to understand. And then there's the atmosphere — that rare, elusive vibe everyone chases and so few places actually have. After Eden doesn't just have it. After Eden is it.
After Eden is easily one of the most impressive openings I’ve experienced in New York in a long time. We went during opening weekend, sat at the bar, and from the moment we walked in, it was clear that this place operates at a different level. What makes After Eden stand out immediately is its dual identity. By day, it functions as a Vietnamese café, and by night it transforms into a full cocktail bar. That foundation carries directly into the mixology program. There is a clear influence of Southeast Asian ingredients layered into classic cocktail technique, and the result is something that feels both creative and intentional rather than experimental for the sake of it. We were taken care of by Benny behind the bar, and this is where the experience really came together. Sitting at the bar was the right move. Watching the drinks being built, the level of precision, and the attention to detail made it clear that this is a serious program. Every step felt deliberate. I don’t even remember the exact drink I ordered, but I remember how it tasted. It was complex yet completely harmonious. There was no clash of flavors, no one element overpowering the other. Everything worked together seamlessly, which is not easy to achieve when you are working with bold and unconventional ingredients. Beyond the drinks, the level of detail across the entire space is what elevates After Eden even further. From the engraved glassware to the embroidered napkins, from the lighting to even the soap in the bathroom, every touchpoint feels intentional. Nothing is overlooked. The ambiance is dialed in, the service is polished, and the overall experience feels cohesive from beginning to end. Yes, it leans toward the higher end in terms of pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients, the execution, and the technical craftsmanship behind each drink, it feels justified. This is not just a place to grab a cocktail. It is a place to experience the craft. My girlfriend, who is half Vietnamese, was genuinely impressed, and I was honestly blown away. After Eden is a place I would return to without hesitation. Whether it is for a date, with friends, or even solo at the bar, it delivers on every level. This is a true gem in New York City. Overall: 5 out of 5 stars.
I found out about this spot from a New York Times article. This place is amazing. I love the decor and vibe. The food and drinks were spot on! Very authentic flavors and different. Loved the Pork Egg rolls and Shrimp Tacos. 10/10 👌I would definitely come back here.
