Had a wonderful stay at the Franklin! Very conveniently located off of the 6 train, and there aren’t very many options in the upper east side. So very glad this location exists! The room is small but that’s to expected anywhere in the city. The only slight issue was the bathroom sink location, a bit tight. All in all I had a great time here and will definitely be back!
OK - it is a hotel with small rooms and no breakfast. Yet, given how expensive the neighborhood is - this is a great location for a low price for the area. Was cozy, no real noise. Front desk staff really good. I spent three nights there and could walk to all the great tourist stuff in the area.
Great location, room was very clean and well kept, typical NYC size (note that “cosy” rooms are indeed cozy.) Be aware it’s a few steps up into the hotel. Xoshera, one of the staff members is fantastic and lovely and deserves a promotion and raise.
Very clean perfect location. We stayed here in 2022. I really can't understand the low rating. The hotel is super convenient. It has a pleasant design, the rooms are immaculately clean, service is great, and the location is unbeatable for those seeking less crowded noisy area at the end of the day. It is literally steps away from the subway the area is very safe full of restaurants and shops yet much quieter and safer than midtown. Oh and they are also pet friendly.
I was a little nervous staying here as it had less than 4 stars on Google when I booked - and the nerves were for nothing! It was a great little hotel in a PERFECT location for exploring the Upper West Side. Yes, the room was small, and the hotel doesn't have some of the usual IHG hotel amenities (fitness center, flat irons to borrow, etc), but that feels like the norm in NYC. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was nice with decent products and water pressure. Staff were so friendly! They were able to accommodate an early check-in which was really helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.
