This place was THE PERFECT place to stay for my wife and I’s long weekend in NYC. It is conveniently located and has easy access to the subway for navigating all of town. The rooms were great, and we had a magnificent view of the skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the river (36th floor). The entire hotel was clean, the breakfast was very good, and service was excellent. When it comes to service, Janelle and Giani were two of the best I’ve ever encountered in all my travels. They were happy to be there, energetic, personable, and were beyond helpful. They went above and beyond to take care of us, and it was certainly noticed. They even gave us some great local recommendations as we wanted to stay away from the tourism chaos. Overall, great experience. Highly recommend staying here, I know I’ll certainly be back.
We stayed here for a week. We were on the 43rd floor with great views of lower Manhattan. The room was small, but we knew that when we booked. That said, we used it for sleep, showers, and shelter, so it did the trick. There is very little storage though, so be prepared for that. There was plenty of hot water, although the shower pressure was a 4/10 for us. The staff here is just great. Lots of smiles and always helpful. The ladies that run the breakfast were great, but they have a job to do, so don't take offense if they tell you precisely where to sit each morning. The hotel's location was perfect for us too. Short walks to multiple subway stations, with plenty of food/drink options nearby. We really liked Sixth Avenue Garden Gourmet Deli (around the corner), as they're open 24/7 and have a great selection of groceries and hot foods. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful location, the view of our room was amazing. Staff was so kind and helpful. Being said, I won't consider staying in this location ever again due to the air conditioning noise. First I thought it was broken went to the other room we booked and it was the same story. They make noise as much a steam train does. I can't comprehend how such a beautiful hotel has this much of low quality airconditioning. Haven't had a good night sleep while staying. After all the low sleep quality shadowed every upside of the experience.
The room that I got was on the 35th floor with a great view of the city. The only problem is that it felt like the elevators took forever to come, which makes sense obviously because I was so high up. Overall, though the rooms themselves were cleaner and the people who cleaned the rooms in between visits were also very nice as well. The hotel is also located in a prime location. Easily walking distance from a variety of restaurants and other businesses. The service was also good as well. The front desk workers were very nice and you could tell they take pride in being gracious to guests as well as other visitors. Overall, I had a great time with my stay. I did have to take one star off just because the water in the shower was very slow to drain but that’s something that is pretty easily fixed. Definitely worth another stay
I‘m very picky about hotels and I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised! First of all, we got a free room upgrade to a higher floor and two queen size beds. The rooms are definitely big enough for two people. View of WTC marvelous, beds comfortable, everything was clean, fresh towels everyday. Location is perfect, Penn Station, metro, bus - all in walking distance. Breakfast was great too, had everything we needed. Kept us full for half the day. There was also free coffee and tee in the lobby. Never waited longer than 5 minutes for an elevator, really don’t understand other people’s complaints about this. Last, but not least .. the staff! Super kind and helpful! On our last day, we left our luggage at the hotel - they stored it in the breakfast area and even had security keeping it safe. We would definitely come back.
