Hotel Beacon exceeded my expectations in every way! The entire front desk and bell staff were exceptionally friendly, cheerful, and always eager to help with great food recommendations and directions. As a woman traveling solo, I felt completely safe and comfortable here. Plus, the location is unbeatable—literally steps away from Steps on Broadway, which made getting to my dance classes effortless, and conveniently located near 72nd and Broadway station, making it very easy to get back from late night shows. Highly recommend, and I can’t wait to return!
This hotel is wonderful! Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Two blocks to a subway station, a short walk to Central Park. A perfect location. We had an issue with our living room AC and called the front desk for help. In less than 5 minutes a maintenance man arrived to service the unit. The AC needed additional service and it was replaced while we were out. That's exceptional service! The pull out sofa bed is light weight and easy to operate. It doesn't have a nice thick mattress (typical for a sofa bed) and a request for a mattress topper was provided with a thick mattress and made the bed very comfortable. See the picture. The hotel also provides umbrellas for the guests. I'm pretty sure this will be our permanent hotel when we visit NYC.
Hotel Beacon was a fantastic location for our visit to NYC. The room was clean and well stocked with good water pressure, a nice kitchenette, Keurig, and comfortable bed with good AC. The staff was phenomenally friendly and helpful with great restaurant recommendations. At the restaurant the first night, we were given a conplimentsry appetizer after mentioning that we were staying at the Hotel Beacon. The vibe on the Upper West Side is relaxed and friendly. Great access to the Park, museums, and the subway. Will definitely stay again.
Early check in was available and appreciated. They even offered a toddler friendly high chair upon check in seeing that we have a toddler. Location is great. Walkable to Central Park, has a grocery market across the street and restaurant toddler friendly next door. Adore the kitchenette and full supplies of kitchen ware. Helped with cooking toddler meals. Ac was smooth. All it is missing is a lounge or swimming pool area. Staff was superb and knowledgeable- love the perks and amenities here
