Four nights spent at the hotel, excellent location, very nice rooftop, nice rooms (not too small for NYC), very attentive staff. During a rainy day, they even let us take umbrellas (that we gave back) without hesitation. Great customer service! Overall a great experience even if one night (on Saturday) was a bit pricey ($950 with taxes).
Hotel is clean and elegant. Location is close to Times Square and many subway stations. Rooms are tight, but it was somewhat expected given the location. Do not stay here if you are with Accor. They do not recognize any status you have with Accor. When I brought up my confusion since I booked with Accor, the front desk rolled their eyes. They told me Accor is the problem and that they can have a manager come over to repeat to me that the Accor status does not mean anything. In the middle of my stay I was sent a message that asked what benefits I had originally expected to receive to see if any accommodations could be made. After giving a list, there was no follow up or acknowledgement to my response. At least telling me that they are unable to accommodate would have been appreciated. If you come in late at night, make sure to have your room key in hand. Multiple nights I had security yell at me to leave while I searched for my key in my purse. They may have a problem with unwanted guests entering. Overall, the environment was unwelcoming and the staff seemed to lack the ability to problem solve . Also, the staff seemed to know that Accor does not disclose that there is a destination fee ($40 per day) during booking and still failed to communicate this fee during check-in. When I asked about the charge the front desk was more than happy interrupt me to blame Accor, remind me that they are not Accor, and tell me they can bring a manager over to tell me I have to pay it. I do not recommend this hotel and would urge Accor to cut their partnership as this location does not meet the luxury brand standards or expectations.
My teenage son and I visited nyc and it was an okay experience staying in this hotel. We borrowed a guitar when we first got there since this was a program that they have. The service during this interaction was efficient and friendly. The staff told me that e could switch during our visit and that’s what I tried to do twice by giving requests to the staff but never was able to trade it again which would have been fine but no one said it was unavailable so I just assumed it was. The other offputting part of the trip was during the day myself and my son was able to leave the hotel come back. It was no need to show the ID card but one night we end up coming back after 10 or close to 10 and we walked past the staff and I was dressed like a mom didn’t have on stilettos no mini skirt no dress so the guy left the booth and came over to the elevators and said are you going to the rooftop bar? Remind you I was with my son my teenage son yes he’s tall but he looks like a teenager so this was very offputting. Given the fact that two white gentleman was able to just walk pass and didn’t show anything, but he thought it was appropriate to come up to a mom with a kid to ask was I going to a rooftop bar while having on a jean skirt sleeveless top and flat shoes with my son. I won’t be returning back to this hotel I think that the hype is good maybe for adults that just wanna come and party yes it was convenient to walk right to Times Square, but I won’t be returning just because it was not worth the amount that I paid to me. Also the Hot water in the shower took a long time to heat up, which I found, but it wasn’t the end of the world. The exterior and Interior was clean and the hotel room was small but nice.
I booked this hotel to be close to touristy area taking my kids for the first time to the Big Apple. The rooms were so clean, the beds are comfy and the noise was almost non-existent at night. But what made this hotel stand out so much for me was the staff. The staff were all so incredibly kind and nice. Drake one of the Valets was so incredibly kind and helpful and it was so appreciated while we navigate a scooter for my husband with a foot injury. I hope management reads this and give the staff much acknowledgement because they made the stay fantastic and I'll remember this returning next year and telling anyone who is visiting.
We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for a week in early January. This place is fantastic. The staff were very welcoming, rooms were warm and inviting and the location is outstanding. We travelled as a family of 4 and found the whole experience wonderful. The minute we got out of the car and the staff member immediately helped us with our bags and helped us get settled. The food at the restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced for the location. If you are looking for a perfect spot to stay in New York with dedicated staff and clean rooms, this is it. It was also a nice touch to have the staff at the first floor desk always say good morning or offer help each day, brought a very kind and welcoming vibe to the whole trip. Hopefully we will return soon, however it’s a long trip from Australia!!
